Portsmouth vs Shrewsbury Betting Tip – Portsmouth win.

Only Arsenal and Southampton claimed away victories at Fratton Park during the 2019-20 season and as Portsmouth prepare for this new League One campaign, they have already scored five goals in two previous matches including a 2-0 midweek EFL Trophy home win against Colchester. Shrewsbury will be the next arrivals at the venue and they were beaten 2-0 on their prior visit back in February. The Shrews have won just once on the road this year and have lost their two latest matches. A Pompey win is forecasted.

Sunderland vs Bristol Rovers Betting Tip – Sunderland win.

An 8-1 EFL Trophy home win against Aston Villa U21 completed Sunderland’s preparations for another League One campaign. The Black Cats remain a difficult team to beat at the Stadium Of Light with only Burton winning at the venue last season. Bristol Rovers now face the task of claiming three points on Wearside, and they earned only two league points on their travels during the first three months of this year when playing relegated teams Bolton and Tranmere. A 3-0 EFL Cup defeat last weekend at Ipswich was not a good sign for Rovers and they face another loss at Sunderland.

Cheltenham vs Morecambe Betting Tip – Cheltenham win.

Despite suffering a heavy defeat in their home leg of the League Two promotion play-off semi-final back in late June, Cheltenham proved to be a solid team at Whaddon Road earlier this year. Six successive league victories were claimed at the stadium and the Robins have also won both competitive games this term. Visiting team Morecambe have failed to win over ninety minutes in two prior competitive matches with just a solitary league victory secured on the road since late October. Another home victory is likely for Cheltenham.

Port Vale vs Crawley Betting Tip – Port Vale win.

A 1-0 defeat by Walsall back in December was the last time Port Vale suffered a competitive home defeat and a 2-1 away success at Scunthorpe in EFL Cup action last weekend was decent preparation for the new League Two campaign. Vale have proved to be a difficult team to beat under the guidance of manager John Askey and they now welcome a Crawley team that failed to win a league match on the road from September onwards last season. The Reds have also lost both competitive matches this term against strong opposition and are forecasted to lose a third game.

Aberdeen vs Kilmarnock Betting Tip – Aberdeen win.

Although they suffered an opening day 1-0 home defeat by Rangers, Aberdeen have subsequently won all three Scottish Premiership games and have conceded just one goal. A 6-0 Europa League victory was also earned against a Faroe Islands team, and the Dons now welcome Kilmarnock to Pittodrie. Killie failed to win any of their first five league games of the current campaign before hammering newcomers Dundee United 4-0 at Rugby Park. Just one competitive away victory this year is also an ominous sign for the visitors and they could be facing a third defeat on the road this term.
