Fantasy Football Gameweek 29 Tips for Transfers – Double Gameweek Advice
Gameweek 29 will feature two fixtures for Manchester City and Arsenal with the short-notice double gameweek likely to take many by surprise.
With that in mind, we focus on potential City and Gunners assets for the upcoming week.
Goalkeepers and Defenders Tips
We kick things off with Burnley’s Nick Pope (4.8m). The Clarets have kept four clean sheets in their last five league games, propelling Pope to the top of the goalkeeper standings.
Fixtures against Tottenham and Manchester City may not be the most enticing but a guaranteed fixture in Gameweek 31 could be useful for anyone without a free hit chip.

Midfielders Tips
Nicolas Pépé (9.2m) has amassed back-to-back returns for this first time this season. A goal and three assists from his last two may be enough to persuade FPL managers to take the plunge ahead of a double gameweek featuring West Ham at home and Manchester City (without Aymeric Laporte) away.
At the other end of the price spectrum is Bukayo Saka (4.5m). Like Pépé, Saka also has back-to-back returns, having assisted against Newcastle and Everton both from left-back. Given Arsenal’s defensive injuries, Saka is likely to feature a fair amount over the double gameweek and could be a smart investment.
Riyad Mahrez (8.4m) is far from guaranteed minutes over the course of the double gameweek. Man City have a very busy schedule and second-guessing Guardiola’s plans is a fool’s errand. Nevertheless, Mahrez has a lot of potential, having scored seven and assisted 10 so far this season. Bringing him in very risky but could pay off handsomely.
Manchester City’s forgotten man, Leroy Sané (9.3m) is approaching a return after a long-term injury. As with Mahrez, there could be a big upside to owning Sané but this double gameweek has almost certainly come a few weeks too soon for the German international.
Moving away from the double gameweek, Bruno Fernandes (8.3m) has hit the ground running in a Manchester United shirt. 32 points from his first four games is an excellent return for the former Sporting player. However, his next three fixtures read Man City (H), Tottenham (A), blank, so make sure to plan ahead before considering the Portuguese.
Ismaila Sarr (6.3m) stole the headlines in Watford’s miraculous 3-0 win over Liverpool at the weekend. Sarr has been in great form since Nigel Pearson took over and wasted no time in reminding FPL managers of his value upon his return from injury. At 6.3m with 1.5% ownership and a Gameweek 31 fixture, Sarr could be a wise purchase.
Forwards Tips
Eddie Nketiah (4.3m) has started each of Arsenal’s two league games, scoring in the latter. He faces stiff competition for a starting spot but at 4.3m could become a useful FPL bench option with a double gameweek to boot.
