Brighton have conceded in every game so far this season, and despite their fine form, I think that will continue as they come into the Europa League. AEK Athens have scored five in their first three league matches, and scored five in their Champions League qualifying campaign, despite dropping into the Europa League after losing out to Antwerp over two legs. I think Brighton will be at it from the off in front of their home fans, and although I think they will win, this will leave them vulnerable at the back, and I think they will concede.
Jan Paul Van Hecke to be booked
John Paul Van Hecke picked up a yellow card in Brighton’s last fixture, a 3-1 win over Erik Ten Hag’s Manchester United. The 23-year-old has started the last two for Brighton, and I think he will start this one as well. He spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Brighton, and I think his lack of experience at this level could leave him exposed on one or two occasions, and he might be forced into making a foul or two. I think he is good odds for another booking.
