The ITV documentary about Euro 2996 has been circling in recent weeks and it’s also available to watch on Youtube. But can you remember the England starting 11 for the semi-final match against Germany? The game is most famous for the agonising stretch by Paul Gascoigne (there’s one answer for you!) at the back post during Golden Goal injury time and then the resulting penalty miss by a young defender. It meant Germany went through to the final where they beat Czech Republic in the final, and football still wasn’t home.
