Europa League Football Tips: 12/1 Acca from FOUR Europa Games on Thursday

We have reached the final games in the group stages of the Europa League and Europa Conference League, and there are still places up for grabs in the knockout rounds.

We’ve had a look at four games on Thursday night and pulled together an Acca that we’ll be going for.

Napoli v Leicester City – 17:45

Leicester City travel to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona to face Napoli in a crucial game for both clubs.

The Foxes currently sit top of Group C, but just two points separate the four sides in the group. If Brendan Rogers men can avoid defeat in Naples, they will qualify for the next round, but defeat will almost certainly see them bow out of the competition and Napoli progress.

When the sides met at the King Power Stadium in September the game finished 2-2, but we’re expecting a cagier affair this time. However, we think Leicester can come away from Italy with the point they need to go through.

Legia Warsaw v Spartak Moscow – 17:45

The other two clubs in Group C meet at the Stadion Wojska Polskiego in Warsaw, as Legia host Spartak Moscow.

This is another winner takes all game and Legia, who despite sitting bottom of the group, could qualify for the knockout stages with victory. That is the only result that will see the Polish side go through, however, Spartak could draw and qualify if the result in Naples goes there way.

When the sides previously met in Moscow, it was Legia who recorded a 1-0 away win. However, they have lost their last three games in the competition, whilst Spartak beat Napoli 2-1 last time out.

With both teams needing the win rather than relying on results elsewhere, it should make for an attacking game, but we’re backing Spartak to get the job done.

Lyon v Rangers – 17:45

Rangers travel to France to face Lyon in their final game of Group A, with both sides safe in the knowledge they have already qualified for the knockout stages.

Lyon have won the group thanks to five wins out of five to go straight through to the quarter-finals, whilst Rangers’ crucial 2-0 victory over Sparta Prague a fortnight ago will see them feature in the round of 16 after confirming their spot as group runners-up.

Both sides could rest players, but Lyon will still put a team out that might be too good for the Scottish champions. When the sides met at Ibrox, the French side won 2-0 and a similar score line could be on the cards this time too.

Tottenham Hotspur v Rennes – 20:00

Tottenham welcome Rennes to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for this crucial Europa Conference League fixture.

Rennes have already secured a place in the quarter-finals of this competition as Group G winners, but Spurs must better Vitesse’s result to qualify for the round of 16 as group runners-up.

Tottenham have had a disappointing campaign in this tournament but still sit on the brink of qualification. They have been strong at home, winning both their group games, but it has been their away form that has let them down.

Antonio Conte will want to progress and should put out a strong team, so we’re expecting a Spurs win.
