The 2023 York Ebor Festival rolls into it’s third day on Friday 25th August and we have picked out our best York tips for each race today with a preview of every race on the card. The sprinters feature on day 3 in the Nunthorpe Stakes where Highfield Princess is set to go off a warm favourite. We have asked @racingToby1 to preview each York day 3 race and you can see his betting tips below.1:50 – Wootton’sun (5/1) EW
It would be a poetic ending for Paul Hanagan to end his career on a winner with his only ride on the day. But the reasoning mainly relates to my Ebor selection (spoiler) Scampi. The pair pulled 12 lengths clear at Ascot he beat Scampi the time before on quick ground and I think that is form worth following. He will be close to the pace of not leading and be in with a shout in the closing stages.[single_affiliate_freespins id=”4109″ ]
2:25 – Giavellotto (7/1) EW
Firstly, draw a line through Goodwood, it’s irrelevant. Not much splits Courage Mon Ami & Coltrane on figures and the return to a sounder surface will be appreciated however the same applies to Giavellotto. The Yorkshire Cup winner on quick ground in May should not be forgotten about and this improving 4yo still has potential in my opinion.3:00 – Kylian (9/4) Win
Frustrating on his first 2 starts when well backed on both occasions, before destroying his opponents on his next 2 starts. Last time he was unlucky in running and finished strongly, the step up to 6f should suit. As always the O’Brien contender has to be feared especially after his 2nd at Royal Ascot but I’d rather side with the experienced Burke horse.[single_affiliate_freespins id=”63″ ]
3:35 – Highfield Princess (6/4) Win
An impressive winner of this race last year, I’d be surprised if things didn’t go the same way this year. Beaten twice at Royal Ascot in close finishes she regained a winning thread when humiliating a good field at Goodwood. I’d like to see a better performance from Dramatised and hope she can fill one of the places. Big Evs receives a mountain of weight being a 2yo and would be a huge danger but it is a big ask so early in a horses career.4:10 – Chelsea Green (12/1) EW
It’s hard to judge her 3rd in a Vichy Listed race, and didn’t perform too well in the Sandringham. However she is in slightly calmer waters here and looked to be a filly going places at Newmarket with various future winners in behind. She has a nice race weight with Amanzoe propping up the handicap and although she is the rightful favourite it’s hard to know what to expect after more than a year off. [single_affiliate_freespins id=”3070″ ]4:45 – Sisyphean (10/1) EW
It’s not often I’d opt for an unraced two year old, however I don’t think there’s much class form to follow in the race. Callan rides the first colours for Al Maktoum and with a Group 2 entry in his sights alongside his breeding it wouldn’t be hard to see Sisyphean feature on debut. Of those that have seen the racecourse I’d be most impressed with Under The Sun but the market has already sussed him out.5:15 – Silver Sword (10/1) EW
Three starts back he separated the now 105 rated Torito and 95 rated Balance Play. He won easily next time out on quick ground before soft ground, extra distance and a tougher race are all possible excuses. He gets quicker ground here, back to a mile and is still only rated 93. There’s definitely room for manoeuvre off this mark and double figure odds I’d be disappointed if he didn’t make the frame. How to get the Betfred York Free Bets
