Odds – 47/1 with Bet365Florentino (Benfica) to be carded vs PSG
The first of my selections sees Benfica host one of the tournament favourites in PSG. We all know the firepower the French side possess, with their front 3 of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar arguably the best in the world at the moment. I think they’ll be too hot to handle for the Portuguese outfit so I’m siding with Benfica’s defensive midfielder Florentino to pick up a yellow here. The 23-year-old was carded in their surprise 2-1 victory in the last group match against Juventus and has also been carded in the league on two occasions. With PSG likely to be on the front foot from the get-go, I can see Florentino having a difficult evening which will result in him being carded.Lewis Baker (Stoke) to be carded vs Burnley
My next two selections are from The Championship, and I start in Lancashire where Burnley host Stoke. Stoke come into this one on the back of a 4-0 drubbing at home to Watford and could easily suffer the same fate against promotion-seeking Burnley. I’m going for Stoke’s captain, Lewis Baker, to pick up a yellow here. The midfielder has been known as a bit of a journeyman having been loaned out to 8 different clubs during his time with Chelsea, however, has now found a home at Stoke and has found himself in the referee’s notebook on 4 occasions. In a match where styles will be contrasting, I can see Baker getting his 5th yellow of the campaign as he and his fellow teammates will look to stop Burnley from dominating play.Ryan Manning (Swansea) to be carded vs Watford
The last of my selections sees us head to Vicarage Road where Watford host Swansea. Both sides will come into this full of confidence after away victories at the weekend. Both also like to play attractive football, so this one shouldn’t be too bad on the eye for the neutral. I’m siding with Swansea’s left back, Ryan Manning, to be carded. The main reason for this is simple; he will be tasked with stopping one of the best players in the division in Ismaila Sarr. Manning has picked up 2 yellows this term and, having watched him play live plenty of times, I know that he’s the type to sneakily stop counter attacks with the odd trip or shirt pull. I don’t think he’ll get away with that against Sarr on Wednesday and will find himself carded in the process.New Sign-up Offer for this Week
