Arsenal vs PSG Predictions

I think Arsenal will win the first leg of this Champions League semi-final at home. The Gunners are 12 games unbeaten in all competitions, with six draws and six wins in that time. They were very impressive in their two legs against Real Madrid, outclassing Los Blancos in both fixtures, particularly at home – a game they won 3-0. PSG are in excellent form, but they did lose their second leg in the quarter-final against Villa, and scraped through on aggregate. They also lost their last league game 1-3 at home to Nice. I think Arsenal will have enough for a win here. I do think both teams will score here. The first leg of a semi-final can be a cagey affair, with both teams desperately trying not to concede. However, I don’t think that will be the case here. Both sides will be at it from the off, trying to put the game out of sight before the return leg in Paris. Both teams have scored in seven of Arsenal’s last 10 fixtures in all competitions. For PSG, both teams have scored in eight of their last 10. I think this will be an exciting game, and both teams to score is a good bet. Bukayo Saka is the man I’m backing to either score or assist here. He has 11 goals and 12 assists to his name this season, with six goals and 10 assists in 21 Premier League appearances, and five goals and two assists in five Champions League matches. His record in the Champions League this season is particularly impressive. He was on target in the last round against Real Madrid, his first in the competition since a double against Monaco back in December. I think there will be plenty of chances here, and Saka is great odds to either score or assist. I’ve gone for PSG’s Achraf Hakimi to be carded here. He has been carded six times this season, four times in Ligue 1, once in the Champions League and once in the French Cup. He will be coming up against the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka here, two skilful players with plenty of pace, and both draw a good amount of fouls. I think he’s great odds to pick up his seventh booking of the season here, and taking him for a card boosts this bet builder to 14/1 with Bet365.
