BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Newcastle to win @ 8/13

I think taking Newcastle to win is a safe bet in this one. While they haven’t won in three games in the league, Burnley haven’t won in nine, with just four win in their last 20 matches in all competitions. Newcastle have won six, drawn five and lost seven of their 18 Premier League matches so far this season. One of those wins came against Burnley just three weeks ago. With Newcastle’s strong attacking prowess, I think they’ll win this one fairly comfortably.

Anthony Gordon over 0.5 shots on target (3/5)

Anthony Gordon has had a decent season despite Newcastle’s overall league campaign being disappointing. The England winger has scored seven goals in all competitions this season, with two in the league and five in six in the Champions League. In the league, he has had nine shots on target, giving him an average of 0.5 shots on target per game. Newcastle will create a good amount of chances here against a struggling Burnley side, and I think Gordon is good odds for a shot on target.

ALTERNATIVE BET – Anthony Gordon to score @ 15/8

He has only two goals to his name in the league this season, but with five in the Champions League, he has a decent return overall. 15/8 is decent odds for him to grab a goal here.

Bruno Guimaraes to be carded (11/4)

Bruno Guimaraes is good odds to be booked at 11/4. The Brazilian midfielder has been carded four times in 17 Premier League appearances this season. In that time, he has made 27 fouls, averaging more than 1.5 fouls per game. He has also made 10 fouls in his six Champions League appearances this season. Those stats speak for themselves, so I think he will make a couple of fouls here and is a good shout for a booking.

Luis Florentino to be carded (3/1)

I’m also backing Luis Florentino to be carded at good odds of 3/1. He has been booked once in his 14 Premier League appearances this season since joining Burnley on loan from Benfica. He has also picked up two bookings in his three Champions League appearances earlier in the season. In the league, he has made 18 fouls, which is more than his card record would suggest. Coming up against a physical Newcastle midfield, I expect him to make a number of fouls, and think he could pick up a booking.
