Burnley vs Liverpool Predictions
- Liverpool to win
- Alexander Isak to score or assist
- Florian Wirtz 1+ shots on target
- Kyle Walker to be booked
Liverpool should win this one comfortably this weekend to make it four wins from four to start their league campaign and continue their fine form which strengthens their positioning as early title favourites. With a solid performance and clean sheet over their nearest league competitors Arsenal last time out, they’ll be full of confidence as they travel to face relegation candidates Burnley who have lost two of their opening three matches.
I’m backing Liverpool new boy Alexander Isak to either score or assist in his first league match for the Reds. He’s yet to feature this season after his fall out with Newcastle as he pushed his move to Merseyside, but he will be keen to prove himself with he new team. In his 34 league appearances for Newcastle last season he bagged 23 goals and six assists. Liverpool should dominate here and create plenty of opportunities for their new man, and he’s good odds to score or assist.
Florian Wirtz is another talented new boy for Arne Slot’s side, and he’s already impressed at Anfield since joining. He has had two shots on target this season, coming in each of his last two league matches. He will be confident here and, as I said, Liverpool should create s lot of chances. I think he’s likely to have at least one shot on target in this one.
We’re going with former Man City full back Kyle Walker to pick up a booking on Sunday. He will be in for an extremely difficult 90 minutes against the magic of Liverpool’s attack, and is likely to grow frustrated. He has already been booked once in the league this season, and I think he will make a number of fouls which could lead to another booking here.
