What does "player to be booked" mean?

A bet on a specific named player to receive a yellow card during the match. It wins if the player is booked at any point in the 90 minutes (extra time and penalties usually excluded), and a red card from a second yellow also wins the bet.

What's the difference between yellow card tips and booking tips?

Nothing — they're the same betting category. "Yellow card tips" emphasises the yellow outcome; "booking tips" is the broader term covering yellows, reds and bookings-points markets.

How do you predict who will be booked?

We combine four data points: the player's average fouls per game, their cards per 90, the likely opposition match-up (especially pacy or foul-drawing opponents), and the appointed referee's card tendencies — with rivalry and stakes adding context.

Are yellow card bets settled on extra time?

No. Almost all bookmakers settle card markets on 90 minutes only (plus injury time). Extra time and penalty shoot-outs don't count.

What happens if my player doesn't start?

Most bookmakers void the bet and return your stake if the player doesn't start; some void only if the player isn't in the matchday squad at all. Always check the specific bookmaker's rules — bet365, for example, requires the player to start for the bet to stand.

Do cards from set-pieces, dissent or time-wasting count?

Yes. Any yellow shown during the match — including for off-the-ball incidents, dissent, time-wasting or persistent fouling — counts towards player-to-be-booked and total card markets.
