Premier League Leeds United host Championship Norwich City this Sunday in the FA Cup. Leeds are 15th in the Premier League, as Norwich sit 17th in the Championship.
Leeds have won only seven Premier League matches this season, drawing 10 and losing 12. They are only three points above the relegation zone, and are winless in five.
Norwich are having a poor season, struggling towards the bottom end of the Championship. They are nine points above the relegation zone though, with 13 wins, six draws and 16 defeats so far this season.
Leeds vs Norwich Bet Builder Tip
Leeds vs Norwich Predictions
- Leeds to win (10/21)
- Both teams to score (5/6)
- Dominic Calvert-Lewin over 1.5 shots on target (1/1)
- Kenny McLean to be booked (4/1)
Leeds to win (10/21)
I think Leeds United will overcome their Championship opposition this weekend in this fifth round FA Cup tie. They have lost only three of their last 10 in all competitions, with four draws and four wins in that time. Norwich are on a good run of form, and have won eight of their last 10 in all competitions, despite their poor league position. It won’t be easy for Leeds this Sunday, but I think they’ll have just enough quality to defeat the Canaries at home.
ALTERNATIVE BET – match to end a draw in 90 minutes @ 15/4
Like I said, it won’t be easy for Leeds here, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one head to extra-time. With Norwich’s good run of form, it’ll certainly be a difficult fixture for both sides. 15/4 is decent odds for this one to end all square.
BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Both teams to score @ 5/6
On a similar note, I think both teams to score is excellent odds at 5/6. It’ll be end-to-end, and both teams will come into the fixture with the belief that they can put themselves into the next round of the cup. Norwich have scored in nine of their last 10 matches in all competitions, conceding in five of 10. For Leeds, they’ve scored in seven and conceded in nine of their last 10 in all competitions. I think both teams to score is a solid bet in this one.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin over 1.5 shots on target (1/1)
Even money is a good price for Leeds striker Calvert-Lewin to have one or more shots on target this weekend. The 28-year-old has bagged 10 goals in all competitions this season, all of them coming in the Premier League. In the league, he has had 23 shots on target, an average not far shy of one shot on target per game. He has had one shot on target in his only FA Cup appearance this season, and has one in one in the Carabao Cup too. Leeds will create a decent amount of chances this weekend, and I think 1/1 is good odds for him to have a couple of shots on target.
Kenny McLean to be booked (4/1)
4/1 is fantastic odds for Scotland hero Kenny McLean to pick up a booking against Leeds this Sunday. The Norwich cult hero has been booked three times in all competitions this season, with all of them coming in his 32 league appearances, in which he has made 17 fouls. He will be desperate to help his side progress this weekend, and definitely won’t shy away from a 50/50 as he looks to break down play and set his side on the front foot. I think 4/1 is very generous for the midfielder to be carded here.
