However, left disappointed last weekend as they were forced to settle for a 1-1 stalemate away at Monza on their return from September’s international break, Wednesday’s guests should be bracing themselves for a heavyweight challenge here. Eventually crashing out at the Round of 16 stage last season following penalties heartbreak at the hands of Atletico Madrid, Simone Inzaghi’s camp couldn’t have asked for a tougher opening task on foreign soil.
