Southampton have lost all three of their league matches so far this season, following their promotion from the Championship last season. They have conceded five goals and scored just one. United have one win on the board, but have lost two of their three. That said, I think United will get another victory here against a winless Saints.
Shots on Target Prediction
Alejandro Garnacho is always a bright spark on the wing for United, and I expect that to be the case again here. So far this season, he has had three shots on his three games, with one of them being on target. I think United will dominate possession here, and I think they’ll create enough chances for Garnacho to have at least one shot on target.
Players to be Booked Prediction
We’ve gone for two players to be carded in this one. Jan Bednarek has been carded once already in the opening three games of this season, after picking up five yellow cards in his 20 appearances last season. He will be made to make a number of fouls in this one and I think he’s good odds for a card. We’re also taking Bruno Fernandes to be carded this weekend. The United skipper is yet to be carded in the league this season, but he did pick up a card against Scotland for Portugal in last weekend’s Nation’s League fixture. He was carded 11 times in all competitions last season, and I think he will pick up his first of this campaign soon. Again, he is good odds to have his name taken this weekend.
