Marking their return from September’s international break with a thumping 4-0 romp at home against AC Milan, Paulo Fonseca’s side will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. However, failing to win any of their opening three Serie A appearances this season, Tuesday’s hosts have shown some extended inconstancies on either side of the summer interval. Continuing on from last year, the former Lille boss has seen his squad win just a pair of their previous 12 competitive appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to April 6th.
