Brighton have had a very strong start to this season in the Premier League, winning five of their first six matches so far. The Seagulls are the highest scoring team in the league, with 18 already, an average of three goals per game. Despite winning their last league match 1-0 against Bournemouth, they have lost two of their last three in all competitions, with defeats coming in the Carabao Cup and the Europa League, against AEK Athens and Chelsea respectfully. That’s why I’m not entirely convinced they’ll win, but I think they’ll pick up a minimum of one point in this one as they travel to face Aston Villa.

As I mentioned previously, Brighton are the leagues top scorers, with 18 goals in six. Villa have also been in good scoring form, with 12 goals so far in the league. Villa have scored in five of their first six, with Brighton notching in all six of their league openers, scoring a minimum of three in five of six, scoring once in their only defeat of the season, a 1-3 defeat to West Ham United. I think both teams to score is a dead cert in this one.

 

Nicolo Zaniolo to be booked

Nicolo Zaniolo is on loan at Villa from Galatasaray, and has made five appearances for Unai Emery’s side so far. In those mixture of starts and sub appearances, he has picked up two bookings already, and I’m backing him to pick up his third of the season in this one. The 24-year-old played in the Serie A for Roma last season making 12 starts and coming off the bench on one occasion, picking up four yellow cards in that time. I think he is good odds for a card in this one.
