Brighton vs Aston Villa 10/1 Bet Builder Tip and Predictions

Brighton stadium

Brighton vs Aston Villa bet builder tip and predictions for the Premier League match on Sunday 5th May with three betting tips and a 10/1 bet.

Aston Villa come in to this one off the back of a disappointing 2-4 loss at the hands of Olympiacos in the Europa Conference League in midweek, and will be looking to get back to winning ways as they visit the seaside to face Brighton in this one. Villa have lost just two of their last 10 fixtures in the Premier League and are sitting pretty in fourth place, seven points ahead of Spurs, albeit Ange Postecoglu’s side have one game more to play. When Brighton travelled to Villa Park earlier in the season it was an emphatic 6-1 win for the home side, and I think they’ll come out on top again here as they look to cement their place in the top four.

Aston Villa vs Brighton Predictions

  • Ollie Watkins to score

In that 6-1 hammering of Brighton earlier in the season, Ollie Watkins bagged himself three goals, and I’m backing him to get another one as they travel to face the Seagulls. In his 34 Premier League appearances for the Villains this season, Watkins has bagged himself 19 goals, an excellent return which has seen him selected for Gareth Southgate’s England this year. In his last 20 games in all competitions for Villa, he has scored 13 goals, a good average, and I think he will have plenty of chances in this one against a Brighton side who have conceded seven goals in their last two matches.

John McGinn plays with passion, aggression and power in the middle of the park. For someone not huge in stature, he certainly knows how to handle himself and uses that to his, and his sides strength. That said, his style of play does lead him to be carded often. So far this season, McGinn has made 32 league appearances for Unai Emery’s side, picking up seven yellow cards and one red card in the process. I think he is excellent odds to pick up another booking in this one.
