Chelsea to win

Chelsea looked to have turned a corner following a poor start to life in the Premier League this season. The Blues have won three of their last four matches in all competitions, drawing the other one. This weekend they are welcoming a Brentford side who have won just one of their last seven and the Premier League, albeit it was their last game, a 3-0 victory over Burnley. I think Mauricio Potchettino’s side will have too much for the Bees in this fixture.

I’m backing Chelsea to have less than six corners in this one. Despite the Blues excellent attacking prowess, and the fact that I think they’ll be on the front foot for most of this game, they haven’t had six or more corners in any of any of their last 5 Premier League fixtures. Brentford will have to deal with the likes of Raheem Sterling, and I think it could be backs to the wall for them at the Bridge, but I think Chelsea will continue the trend of not having a lot of corners in the match.

 

Aaron Hickey to be booked

Aaron Hickey is known for getting stuck in. The young Scottish international will be in for a tough afternoon against a good Chelsea frontline. The youngster, who came through at Scottish side Heart of Midlothian, has picked up a massive five yellow cards already this Premier League campaign. I’m backing him to collect his sixth against Chelsea this weekend.
