Japan vs Spain Bet Builder Tips and Predictions

World Cup 2022 betting tips

Japan vs Spain bet builder tips and predictions for the conclusion of Group E where anything can still happen and all four teams have a chance of qualifying. Spain are top of the group on four points with Japan second on three.

Germany play Costa Rica in the other game and they need a win to have any chance of qualifying for the last 16. The bookies have Spain as strong favourites at 2/5, the best odds for Japan to win are 8/1 and the draw is 18/5.

For our Japan vs Spain builder tip, we have picked out three predictions you can see them below. A £10 bet would return £85 if this one is a winner and using the bet365 sign-up offer for the World Cup will get you £50 in free bets too.

Spain to win

Spain have been one of the most impressive teams at the tournament so far, and despite drawing their last game against Germany, I expect them to go far and possibly win the competition. The Spaniards won their opening game emphatically against Costa Rica, scoring seven goals with no reply before a 0-0 draw against Germany. Japan were defeated by Costa Rica last time out and prior to that they pulled off a shock 2-1 win over Germany. However, I don’t think they’ll have enough in this one and I expect Spain to win comfortably.

Alvaro Morata to score

Alvaro Morata is yet to start for Spain at this World Cup, however with two goals in his last two off the bench, I expect him to start in this one and he will have plenty of chances to grab his third, and perhaps more, against Japan. The Athletico Madrid striker has bagged himself five goals in La Liga this season, having started 12 games and coming off the bench twice. Spain will be on the front foot for most of this game, and I expect Morata to add to his World Cup goal tally in their final group match.

Over 6 Spain corners

With Spain expected to spend the majority of this game on the attacking front, they’re likely to get a lot of corners as well. They managed six corners last time out in their 1-1 draw against Germany, and I think they’ll get more than that in this one. They only managed five against Costa Rica, however in their three games prior to the World Cup, they won over six corners in two of those fixtures. Japan conceded six corners in their opening World Cup fixture against Germany, and I think Spain will win more than that against them in this fixture.
