It’s a cracker of a game in Sunday’s late kick-off as Man City take on Chelsea. Pep Guardiola’s side are second in the league, with Chelsea in fifth.
Manchester City were held to a 0-0 draw with Sunderland last time out, but they had won their previous eight games. They’ve won 13 of their 19 league matches.
Chelsea are winless in three, with two draws and a defeat against Aston Villa in that time.

Chelsea’s form of late has been more, with just one win in their last seven Premier League matches. City have won eight of their last 10 matches in all competitions, with eight wins in their last 10 in the Premier League. City are only four points behind Arsenal at the top of the table, and will be looking to maintain the pressure on the Gunners. I think it’ll be close, but I’m backing them to win this one at home against a Chelsea side who have just sacked manager Enzo Maresca.

I expect both teams to get on the scoresheet here. Chelsea have scored 32 and conceded 21 goals in the league this season. City are the league’s highest scorers with 43 goals scored in 19 games, six more than second highest scorers Arsenal. Both teams have scored in four of City’s last 10 in all competitions, and five of their last 10 in the league. For Chelsea, both teams have scored in seven of their last 10 in all competitions. Both teams to score is a good bet here.
Marc Cucurella to be carded (2/1)
Chelsea full back Marc Cucurella is 2/1 to be booked this weekend. The Spaniard has been carded five times this season, with three bookings in the Premier League and two in the Carabao Cup. In the league, he has made 24 fouls in 18 matches, an average of over one foul per game. I expect this one to be a physical encounter, and he will be coming up against some excellent City attackers like Sávio, Haaland, Cherki and Foden. I think he will make at least a couple of fouls, and has a good chance of picking up another card.
ALTERNATIVE BET BUILDER BET – Marc Cucurella 1+ fouls @ 2/7
2/7 is much shorter odds, but if you fancy a safer bet, taking Cucurella to commit one or more fouls reduces the odds of this bet builder to 16/1. He averages well over one foul per game, so I think that would be a safe bet.

Bernardo Silva is another player who has become accustomed to seeing yellow this season. He has been carded seven times this season, picking up four in 19 in the Premier League and three in five Champions League appearances. In the league, he has made 18 fouls, an average just shy of one per game. He also averages one four per game across the Champions League and the Carabao Cup. I think taking him to be carded is a solid addition to this bet builder.
