Real Madrid will want to retain their Champions League trophy this season. They’re 7/1 to win the competition again.

Man City vs Real Madrid Predictions

I’m backing Real Madrid to win this one against Manchester City at the Etihad. Los Blancos have lost only two in their last 10, with their last results a 1-1 in the Madrid derby with Athletico. They are top of La Liga with 15 wins, five draws and just three defeats in the league this season. City squeezed past Leyton Orient in the FA Cup at the weekend after going 1-0 down, and before that they were hammered 5-1 away to Arsenal. I think Madrid will have too much for Pep Guardiola’s side here. Vinicius Jr has been fantastic for Real Madrid for a number of seasons now, and he’s having a good season this term also. He’s scored 15 goals across La Liga and the Champions League, eight in the league and seven in the Champions League. He averages one shot on target per match, and Real will create a good amount of chances here. I think he’s good odds for a shot on target in this one. We’ve gone for two players to be carded – Man City’s Bernardo Silva and Eduardo Camavinga of Real Madrid. Bernardo Silva has picked up six yellow cards this season – five in the league and one in the Champions League. He averages just under one foul per game and I think there be a high number of fouls here in what I expect to be a physical game, especially in midfield. Camavinga has been carded twice this season, both cards coming in the Champions League. He’s not scared of getting stuck in, is a hard hitter and an excellent tackler. That said, I think he will make a foul or two here. Both midfield players are good odds for a booking here.
