Spurs travel to France to take on Ligue One Monaco in tonight’s Champions League fixture, following a 1-2 defeat at home to Aston Villa at the weekend.
Tottenham have had a decent start to the season and find themselves in sixth in the league, just two points behind Man City who are second. They have are unbeaten in their opening two Champions League matches.
Monaco come into this one seventh in Ligue One, with two wins from their last five league matches. They have drawn one and lost one in the Champions League.
Monaco vs Tottenham Bet Builder Tip
BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Spurs to win @ 3/10
Spurs might have lost last time out at home to Villa, but they have been in reasonable form of late. Prior to that defeat, they were unbeaten in seven, with their last loss coming at the hands of Bournemouth back in August. They won their opening Champions League fixture at home to Villarreal before enduring a 2-2 draw on the road against Bode/Glimt last time out. I think they’ll have enough to overcome Monaco here.
Richarlison over 0.5 shots on target (4/7)
Richarlison has three goals to his name this season so far for Spurs, all coming in the Premier League. In the league, he has had 16 shots, with six of them being on target in eight games. Those aren’t fantastic stats, but I do think Spurs will have a lot of the ball here, and create a lot of chances. With him likely to be involved in a lot of their positive play, he’s good odds to have at least one shot on target.
Ansu Fati over 0.5 shots on target (11/10)
11/10 is great odds for Ansu Fati to score here. The Spaniard has scored four in four in the league for Monaco, and has also bagged one in two Champions League outings. In the league, he has had nine shots with five of them being on target, an average of more than one per game. He has had two shots in the Champions League – both of them being on target – in one start and one sub appearance. All four of his Ligue One goals have been scored at home, and I reckon he’s excellent odds to have at least one shot on target here.

ALTERNATIVE BET – Ansu Fati to score @ 3/1
With five goals in six appearances for Monaco this season, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fati on the scoresheet. Taking him to do so massively boosts the odds of this bet builder tip to 55/1.
Joao Palhinha to be carded (9/4)
Spurs’ Joao Palhinha has been carded twice in the Premier League so far this season, in his eight appearances in the middle of the Park for Thomas Franks side. Last season, before he joined Spurs from Bayern Munich, he was carded four times in 17 Bundesliga appearances, with three yellows and one red card. He has made seven fouls in his 10 appearances across the Prem and the Champions League so far this season. It’ll be a difficult away fixture, and I think there’s a good chance of him collecting his first booking of this Champions League campaign.
