PSG have already won Ligue 1 in France, and are 18 points clear of Marseille in second. They’re 10/3 to win the Champions League this season. Villa are having a decent season and are seventh in the league, just two points outside the top four. They’re 28/1 to win the Champions League.

I don’t think PSG will lose this one at home. As I mentioned, they are already champions in France after just 28 games, losing no games in that time, winning 23 and drawing five. They have won 18 of their last 20 in all competitions, with their only defeat in that time coming against Liverpool in the Champions League, a tie they eventually won after two legs. They are also in the final of the French Cup, so could finish this season with a treble. I think Villa have an extremely difficult task here, and I can’t see them coming away with a victory from this one. That said, I don’t think the Villains will disgrace themselves. They have proven they are a good side at this level, and I think they’ll get themselves on the scoresheet. In the last round, they overcame Club Brugge with an aggregate score of 6-1 (1-3 and 3-0), after defeating Celtic, Monaco, Leipzig, Bayern Munich and Young Boys on their way to this stage. Villa have scored in 18 of their last 20 matches in all competitions. PSG have scored 80 league goals this season and have a goal difference of 54 in the league. I think there are goals in this one and both teams to score is a good bet. Kvicha Kvaratskhelia is the man we’re backing for one or more shots on target in this one. The Georgian has scored two goals in his 10 league appearances since joining the Parisian giants, bagging five in 17 for Napoli before making the switch. For PSG, he’s also scored one in four in the Champions League. I think he will start here, and with his constant threat, is an excellent shout to have at least one shot on target. Villa captain John McGinn is good odds for a booking in this one. The Scotsman has been carded six times this season, all coming in the Premier League, in which he has made 27 appearances this season. He has made 42 fouls, giving him an average of more than 1.5 fouls per game. It’ll be an incredibly difficult game here, and Villa will need to leave everything on the pitch if they’re to come away with anything. I expect McGinn to make a couple of fouls at least, and there’s a good chance he will pick up a card here.
