Fulham play Nottingham Forest in the last Premier League match before Christmas tonight and we have looked through all the pundits’ predictions for the match, as well as making our own prediction.
The 8pm kick-off is a big match at the bottom of the table with both teams looking over their shoulder. Leeds won again at the weekend to go ahead of Nottingham Forest and a point behind Fulham. Forest are currently five points clear of the relegation zone, with Fulham a further two points ahead, so three points for either side would give them some breathing space going into the busy Christmas period.
We’ll start with our own predictions for tonight’s game and a correct score prediction from our football betting expert, Andy Clark:
The last game before Christmas is an interesting one at the bottom end of the Premier League. Both of these sides should have enough to climb away from the relegation zone, but if any of the bottom four sides put a run together, they’ll be dragged back into it. Fulham beat Burnley 3-2 last weekend and Forest put up a top-class display to beat Tottenham 3-0. Sean Dyche is working well with Forest, but they did lose 3-0 at Everton in their last away game. Fulham have lost three of their best-performing players to AFCON (Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze and Calvin Bassey), so it would be no surprise to see Forest get something out of this match.
SCORE PREDICTION: 1-2

Chris Sutton’s Fulham vs Nottingham Forest Prediction
BBC Sport’s Chris Sutton makes his predictions for every Premier League game each weekend and looking ahead to Fulham vs Nottingham Forest he said this:
Fulham are another team who I usually fancy to win at home, but they have been depleted by Afcon call-ups.
Samuel Chukwueze has been a really good impact player recently but Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey have been the heartbeat of Marco Silva’s side this season, and all three will be missed.
As for Nottingham Forest, they are on fire with six wins in eight games in all competitions. Maybe ‘Dyche-ball’ is going under the radar a bit, because they are doing very well.
Bassey got the winner in this fixture last season but, as I mentioned, he is not here and this is a very different Forest side too.
I can see this being a very tight affair. I was looking for a reason to say my boyhood team Forest will win, but Harry Wilson will score for Fulham and they can’t keep a clean sheet, so it has 1-1 written all over it.
Sutton’s prediction: 1-1
Paul Merson’s Fulham vs Nottingham Forest Prediction
Paul Merson also makes weekly predictions on the Premier League matches, and you can see his thoughts for Fulham vs Forest below:
Fulham are a decent team and have performed well in recent weeks. I thought they were a bit unlucky in their cup exit to Newcastle.
When I look at Fulham’s next opponents Nottingham Forest, I don’t see them struggling to avoid relegation. I expect them to move up quickly in the table. In fact, I don’t think they will finish the season in the bottom half!
But Forest need to start producing results away from home. They won at Wolves, but that is a game everyone expects to win. Fulham will provide a strong challenge here.
Harry Wilson is thriving off the confidence from his recent performances. I saw him play against Newcastle and whenever he got on the ball, he looked confident and lively. He’s scored a couple of worldie goals as well recently.
I like him as a player. Wilson is now starting to finally show the kind of form that he first displayed when he came through at Liverpool. You can’t do that at a club like Liverpool if you aren’t a good footballer!
I don’t think there’s much difference between these two teams. When the season ends, I believe there may just be a point or two separating them in the table. Draw here.
Prediction: Fulham 2-2 Nottingham Forest
Jones Knows Predictions for Fulham vs Nottingham Forest
Sky Sports pundit Jones Knows has predicted EVERY Premier League result correctly this weekend. A quite remarkable feat that extended with his prediction of Aston Villa to beat Manchester United yesterday. His Fulham vs Forest prediction is below – can he get all 10 predictions right?
Marco Silva looked crestfallen watching Fulham being knocked out of the Carabao Cup in midweek.
Another chance to challenge for a trophy came and went. And the harsh reality for Fulham is that Silva, who is out of contract in the summer, has probably outgrown them now. He’s a very ambitious coach.
Ask yourself this: would you rather keep Fulham in mid-table season after season or potentially go take a job where challenging for honours and playing in Europe is on the radar? Silva has earned a crack at that.
And with uncertainty growing about his situation, that could spell trouble for Fulham over the next six months or so. A club that are famed for downing tools when safe in mid-table, that regression may come sooner.
In contrast, there’s a freshness and enthusiasm in the way Nottingham Forest are playing now under Sean Dyche. With Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic back as a pair, a surge up the table is expected. Forest draw no bet at 11/10 with Sky Bet is a tasty wager.
SCORE PREDICTION: 1-2
