Leeds United have launched their kit for the new Championship season, but it has been met with mixed reviews after a surprise sleeve sponsorship was named. In the whole, the majority of fans sound delighted with the design of the new kit but the Flamingo Land sleeve sponsor has meant the comments on Leeds’ Twitter have gone into overdrive. Fans of other clubs could not hide their delight at the novelty sponsorship logo on the arm of the new Ledds kit and it wasn’t long before the trolling racked up.Leeds Announce Flamingo Land as Sleeve Sponsor
A Leeds Statement read: “Leeds United are delighted to announce a new and expanded partnership with Flamingo Land, who will become the official sleeve partner of the club from the beginning of the 2023/24 season. The deal represents a landmark, with the Sky Bet Championship permitting official sleeve partners for the first time, during the upcoming campaign. Flamingo Land returned as an official partner of the club last season, having been academy front of shirt partners for the 2011/12 season. The new deal will see Flamingo Land branding feature on the sleeve of Leeds United men’s and women’s first teams, along with academy playing kits. As Yorkshire’s ultimate theme park attraction, with an award winning zoo and luxury resort village, Flamingo Land is the perfect destination for family days out, holidays and short breaks. Leeds United will work with Flamingo Land to drive brand awareness by executing bespoke partnership activation campaigns, along with providing exclusive fan offers for experiences at both Flamingo Land and Elland Road.”🤝 #LUFC announce partnership with @flamingolanduk, who will become the club's official sleeve partner

Despite the mocking for the sleeve sponsorship, the new Leeds kit for the 2023/24 season is actually pretty nice and one of the best Championship kits we’ve seen so far. A lot of people on Twitter agreed and here are some of the best responses to the new kit: “Love it!! About time we had a shirt that’s unique to us!!” “This looks so good! Great work Adidas and Leeds team” “Love the simplicity of the design and the peacock-ish blue and yellow. It not that difficult to get right but time and again they’ve delivered underwhelming efforts.” “Best looking kit in years… Finally something simple like the fans have asked for.” “Very nice indeed and looks better with Boxt as a sponsor! Hopefully the away shirts are just as good”🟡🔵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱
