Peter Drury’s Commentary on Vincent Kompany’s Goal vs Leicester

Peter Drury has commentated on, and produced some memorable footballing moments over the years and his commentary on the Vincent Kompany wonder-goal against Leicester last night is everything you imagine – and more.

The win for City last night has left City at the top of the Premier League table with just one match to go, but it took something special from their captain, and his goal was perfectly illustrated with the words of commentator Peter Drury.

Vincent Kompany has been a stalwart through the development of Manchester City over the last 10 years and with tears at the final whistle, people began speculating whether that was his last Premier League game in front of the Etihad Stadium.

If this is how he will bow out, and if Manchester City do finish the job by beating Brighton next weekend, it will sit along side the Sergio Aguero goal against QPR as the most famous goal the stadium has ever seen, and what better man to commentate on it.
