Fixtures are coming thick and fast for Premier League clubs over the Festive period and as well as bet builder tips for the matches, you can see our predictions for the Tuesday matches below.
Burnley picked up a point against Everton last time out but they should have won the match but failed to have a shot on target from 16 attempts. Now they welcome a Newcastle side who have struggled away from home and find themselves down in 14th place. It has been a really disappointing first half of the season for Eddie Howe’s side and there are murmous of pressure on the manager in the North East. Burnley need points, desperatly, and it will be at home where they will pick them up. However, Newcastle have a few players capable of winning any match and we’re backing them to get the three points here.
Score Prediction – Burnley 1-2 Newcastle.
Chelsea vs Bournemouth Prediction
Chelsea are consistently inconsistent this season, even in matches they will put together a brilliant half of football and fall apart in the other 45 minutes. This was the case away at Newcastle and in their 2-1 home defeat to Aston Villa last time out. Bournemouth are no more consistent than Tuesday’s rivals and their 4-1 hammering at Brentford will set alarm bells ringing, especially with star man Semenyo on his way out of the exit door before long. This is a must win game for Chelsea after winning just once in their last seven and it could be a thriller.
Sean Dyche faces his old club with the threat of being dragged into the relegation fight still lingering. Forest are in 17th place in the table, five points ahead of 18th placed West Ham. They’ve lost three of their last four matches now, including a 3-0 defeat to tonight’s opponents. However, Everton are without some of their star men for this game and looked a shadow of the side that beat Forest 3-0 in the 0-0 draw to Burnley. Gueye and Ndaiye are at AFCON and Jack Grealish was injured – David Moyes will be praying he is back into the starting line-up for this one. Forest will be desperate for the points but they might have to settle for one.
Score Prediction – Nottingham Forest 1-1 Everton.
West Ham vs Brighton Prediction
Talking of teams who are desperate for points, West Ham are five points from safety and have recently lost to Fulham. They haven’t won in seven games now and will be heavily relying on Jarrod Bowen to dig them out of trouble. This is a good time to play Brighton though, with no win five for the Seagulls. West Ham need to start picking up points and quickly and their home form will be key to staying in the Premier League. Bowen will be the player to drag them through and they can pick up a vital three points in this one.
Score Prediction – West Ham 3-2 Brighton.
Arsenal vs Aston Villa Prediction
Arsenal are still top of the table but they are certainly grinding out results at this moment in time. Their performances have been workmanlike with narrow victories and strong defensive displays keeping them top of the pile. Gabriel might be back for this game and they’ll hope Timber has overcome his knock that seen him miss the 2-1 win over Brighton. If you look at xG, Aston Villa are the biggest over performers in the Premier League this season but nobody can fault their form on paper. The comeback win over Chelsea made it 11 straight wins and they’re just three points behind Tuesday’s opponents. Ollie Watkins got back amongst the goals on Saturday and if he can keep finding the net in the second half of the season, who knows what Unai Emery’s men can achieve.
Man United find themselves just three points off 4th spot with three very winnable games coming up, starting with this one against one of the Premier League’s worst ever teams. This Wolves side have only picked up two points all season and the rot shows no sign of stopping. United simply have to get three points here and after their 1-0 win over Newcastle, Amorin is likely to stick to his new four at the back system. It yeilded a clean sheet on Friday night and we’re predicting a similar outcome at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
