Monaco to beat PSV Eindhoven

Both sides have been European powerhouses in the recent past, and a blockbuster tie is set to take place. It would be a re-run of last year’s meeting in the Europa League, where Monaco prevailed victorious in the Netherlands before playing out a 0-0 draw at home in a result that all but ended PSV’s chances of qualification.

And, after winning nine of their last ten games at the end of the season, Philippe Clement’s men will have the wind in their sales at Stade Louis II.

They did sell Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid, but for £80million they couldn’t turn it down – and attacking reinforcements in Takumi Minamino and Brett Embolo have already bolstered Ligue 1’s fourth-best attack last season. At 23/20, they are expected to run amok against the Dutch giants.

Rangers to beat Union Saint Gilloise

Rangers have not participated in the Champions League group stages since 2010-11, where they finished third behind a rampant Manchester United side.

They came back last year and had their chance in a third qualifying round tie against Malmo, but blew it on the big stage in a 4-2 aggregate loss.

However, Malmo are an established European side – unlike Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise, who qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history last season.

With European inexperience and having only been promoted to the top-flight the season before, alongside Rangers’ continental prowess towards the end of last season as they made the Europa League final before losing to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalties, 6/4 represents a good price for the fearless outfit.

Dinamo Zagreb to beat Ludogorets Razgrad

Zagreb have kept hold of their better players in the last season, with Lovro Majer being the only major departures in that time.

Bosko Sutalo, Robert Ljubicic and Josip Drmić are all class options, and with Dominik Livakovic, Bruno Petković and Mislav Oršić staying at the club, Zagreb represent an enticing price to beat Ludogorets at 17/10 – who have only qualified for the Champions League group stages twice.

Benfica to beat FC Midtjylland

This one doesn’t need much explanation – Benfica have only failed to qualify for the Champions League group stages once in their last 12 seasons back in 2020-21, where they were knocked out by Greek outfit PAOK.

On the contrary, Midtjylland have only qualified for the group stages once in their history, in that same season after garnering a much easier run-in through qualifying.

Despite selling Darwin Núñez and Everton Soares, the club have improved their squad depth and will should breeze past the Danish side at 1/3.
