Tottenham vs Aston Villa Predictions, Betting Tips and 15/1 Bet Builder

Current image: Spurs betting tips

Spurs welcome Villa this weekend as they look to make it five wins from eight in the Premier League. They’re currently just two points off the top, so it’s been a good start for Thomas Franks’ men. Villa have had a poor start and are 13th in the league, despite being only three points outside of the top six.

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last seven competitive matches, with a 1-2 victory on the road against Leeds United last time out.

Villa had a very poor start, going winless in their opening five Premier League matches. However, they have picked up of late, and have won their last four, two of them being league matches.

Tottenham vs Aston Villa Predictions

BEST BETTING TIP – Tottenham to win @ 11/10 with one of the new UK bookies offers.

I think Tottenham will win at home against Villa this Sunday. They have won four of their seven league matches so far, with two draws and just one defeat, coming against Bournemouth at home. They’re unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions, with four wins and three draws in that time. I think they’ll use their home advantage this weekend and come away with all three points.

ALTERNATIVE BET: Spurs or draw @ 8/25

Villa have picked up recently, so this won’t be easy for Spurs. You could take Spurs or draw instead for a safer bet, and the bet builder odds will reduce to just under 8/1 with Paddy Power.

Both Teams to Score Tip – Yes (8/11)

With both teams coming into this in good form, I think it’ll be a close game. Both teams have scored in four of Tottenham’s last five matches in all competitions, while both teams have scored in three of Villa’s last five. Both teams have scored in six of the last 10 meetings between these two, and I think there’s a strong chance of that happening here.

John McGinn over 1.5 fouls won (4/11)

John McGinn loves to get his body in front of the ball, encouraging players to either push him in the back or stick a foot in, meaning he draws a lot of fouls. He has won 11 fouls in seven league matches so far this season, meaning he draws an average of almost two fouls per game. He’s also won two fouls in two Europa League outings, and another two in his one Carabao Cup appearance.

ALTERNATIVE BET: John McGinn over 2.5 fouls won @ 1/1

McGinn will be coming up against some aggressive players like Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Palhinha, so he may win more fouls this weekend. You could boost the odds by taking him to win over 2.5 fouls.

Spurs vs Aston Villa Cards Tip – John McGinn to be carded (23/10)

In the same way he’s good at winning fouls, he’s also pretty partial to committing them. He has only picked up one league booking so far this season, but has also been carded once in the Europa League. He was carded eight times in all competitions last season, and nine the season before. He’s made nine fouls in seven league games, so he averages more than one per game. I think he’s good odds for a card here.
