Both Teams to Score Tips for the World Cup 2022 Group Stages

World Cup 2022 betting tips

The Group Stage of the World Cup is always an exciting time, with plenty of big fixtures, plenty of upsets and, most importantly, plenty of goals.

World Cup betting is bigger than ever before and across the Group Stage there are many markets to keep an eye on from Correct Score to amazing accas and, of course, the BTTS market.

There are a number of games throughout the Group Stage where we could see Goals Galore, and our top tipsters have run through the first stage of the tournament to pinpoint the games that are perfect betting on the BTTS market…

Senegal v Netherlands

Senegal’s opening fixture with the Netherlands will be one of the games to watch at the World Cup and both will be looking to top Group A.

The Dutch are heavy favourites for the tie, but Senegal are certainly dark horses, with William Hill pricing them at 9/2 to get the win. The spine of the Senegal side is strong and in Sadio Mane they have one of the biggest goal threats in the competition.

Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands side are hardly convincing at present and BTTS certainly looks a worthwhile bet for this game.

France v Denmark

France and Denmark have enjoyed some real barnstorming fixtures over the last few years and they face off in Group D once again. The French will be looking to get revenge on the Danes, who enjoyed wins in the Nations League and while the current World Champions are favourites with most bookies, it’ll be a tight game.

The Danish side has found the net in recent games against France, while the French will certainly go out all-guns blazing, particularly with this fixture likely to be the one that’s the fight to top the group.

We’d back BTTS in this one and a closely fought game with France perhaps just coming out on top.

Poland v Argentina

Poland will fancy their chances of progressing in Group C and will be keen to have wrapped that up with wins over Saudi Arabia and Mexico before they even meet Argentina in their final group game.

Argentina will be the same and this game could ultimately be a battle for top spot. That could make for a cagey affair, or one in which the two nations’ world-class goalscorers get an opportunity to score freely.

It will be a close game either way, and a score draw certainly isn’t off the cards, despite Argentina being pre-tournament favourites for the game.

Wales v England

In previous tournaments England have kept it relatively tight, but the form of the defence and recent Nations League performances suggests Gareth Southgate’s men could be vulnerable. The Three Lions last met Wales in tournament football during Euro 2016, in a game that saw Gareth Bale take the lead for Wales before England fought back to snatch a late winner.

A similar type of game could well be what’s ordered for Qatar 2022 too. It’s the final game of Group B for the pair and there could be a lot riding on it, with USA also potential contenders for qualification to the knockout stage.

That could see one side needing to go for it, while the other may need a result to finish top of the group. Then of course there’s the Home Nations rivalry which sets up an exciting game, where both sides will be pushing for goals.

Wales vs England BTTS odds – 21/20 with 888Sport.

Spain v Germany

Perhaps the biggest game in the Group Stage is Spain’s fixture with Germany. Many are branding Group E the “Group of Death” and the pair take each other on in their second fixture, meaning it’s still all to play for.

The Spanish are favourites to top the Group with William Hill at 5/6 pre-tournament, which suggests they may just pip the Germans in this game too, but it’ll be a real battle and with the attacking players available to both nations, goals at either end seems incredibly likely.

Spain vs Germany BTTS odds – 8/11 with William Hill.
