Wales welcome Belgium to Cardiff this Monday evening in a game where the winner will go top of the pile in Group J. North Macedonia are top of the group at the moment on 12, with Belgium in second on 11 and Wales third on 10 points.
Wales have won five of their last 10 matches, and come into this one on the back of a 0-3 defeat to England, and a defeat to Canada before that. Both of those were friendlies however, and they won their last competitive match 0-1 away to Kazakhstan.
Belgium have won three of their five games played so far, with two draws against North Macedonia keeping them undefeated in the process. Their last two victories have both been 6-0 hammerings of Liechtenstein and Kazakhstan.

Wales vs Belgium Predictions
BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Belgium to win @ 3/4
I’m backing Belgium to pick up their second win against Wales in this World Cup qualifying campaign. The last time these two met it was an enthralling 4-3 victory for Belgium. They took a three goal lead inside half an hour, only to be brought back to 3-3 by the Welsh. However, Kevin De Bruyne popped up with an 88th winner for his side. They are unbeaten in the group, and I think they’ll continue that form in Cardiff here.
ALTERNATIVE BET – Wales are no mugs, and although I expect Belgium to win, I wouldn’t be too surprised with a draw. If you want to play it slightly safer, you could do double chance: Belgium or draw at 2/9.
Both teams to score Tip – Yes (4/5)
Following that crazy game between these two back in June, it’s hard to imagine a game where they don’t both get on the scoresheet. Belgium have been free scoring of late despite a 0-0 draw last time out. They scored 12 goals in the two games previous to that, six in each, and have managed 17 in their five Group J matches.
Wales have scored a decent 11 and conceded six in that time, with both teams scoring in three of their five group matches so far. Both sides have good attacking players, and I expect Wales to create a decent amount of chances before. I think it’ll be a close game and both teams will score.
Wales vs Belgium SOT Tip – Jeremy Doku over 0.5 shots on target (19/20)
Jeremy Doku has three goals in the first five group matches for his country. In those five matches, he has had 20 shots, with seven of them being on target. He likes to cut in from the left and shoot on his favoured right foot, and a percentage of just under half of his shoots coming on target so far in the group is reasonable.
For Man City, the winger has a shot on target percentage of 75% this season in the league, with three in seven games. He also has one shot on target in two Champions League matches – a goal against Napoli. He has bags of pace and skill and will cause Wales problems here.
Wales vs Belgium Card Tip – Nicolas Raskin to be carded (27/10)
I’m backing Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin to be carded here. He was bombed out of the Rangers team by now former boss Russell Martin due to off field issues, but is widely regarded as their best player. He has played five games for the Glasgow club this season however, and has picked up one booking.
For Belgium he has played four of their five World Cup qualifying group matches. He has been carded once in that time, with the booking coming against Wales in that 4-3 thriller. He always gets stuck in, and I expect to different here.
