Following the sacking of Ruben Amorim, Man United travel to face Burnley at Turf Moor under interim gaffer Darren Fletcher on Wednesday evening.
Burnley are second bottom of the league, six points from safety and six points ahead of Wolves who are rooted to the bottom. They haven’t won a league game since 26 October.
United will be keen to get a victory in their first match without Amorim in the dugout. They have won only three of their last 10 matches in the Premier League.
Burnley vs Man United Bet Builder Tip
Burnley vs Man United Predictions
- Man United to win (8/11)
- Matheus Cunha over 0.5 shots on target (2/7)
- Benjamin Sesko over 0.5 shots on target (2/5)
- Luis Florentino to be carded (3/1)
BEST BET BUILDER TIP Man United to win @ 8/11
I’m backing United to win in their first match since Amorim’s sacking. It has been reported that the mood in the United camp has improved in the last 24 hours, and I think Darren Fletcher will guide them to a win on the road in this one. They haven’t had a dreadful season, and currently lie sixth in the Prem with eight wins from 20. That’s not enough for a club like United, though, and was ultimately enough for Amorim to be shown the door. Burnley are winless in 11 matches, and I think they’ll lose again in this one.
Matheus Cunha over 0.5 shots on target (2/7)
I think United will create plenty of chances here, and striker Matheus Cunha is one of two United players I’m backing to have a shot on target. He has scored four goals in 16 Premier League outings so far this season. He has had a massive 52 shots, with 19 of those being on target, giving him an average of more than one per game. I think he’s a good bet for a shot on target here.
ALTERNATIVE BET BUILDER TIP – Matheus Cunha to score @ 13/8
If you fancy higher odds, he’s good odds for a goal at 13/8, boosting this bet builder to 19/1 with Bet MGM. He scored last time out against Leeds, and has bagged three in his last five league matches.
Benjamin Sesko over 0.5 shots on target (2/5)
22-year-old striker Benjamin Sesko is the second United man I’ve taken for a shot on target against Burnley. The Slovenian has only two goals to his name this season, but as I said, I expect United to be full of confidence and create a good amount of chances. He has had 13 shots on target in 16 league matches, so he isn’t far off an average of one per game. I think he’s a good shout for a shot on target.
Luis Florentino to be carded (3/1)
I think Burnley’s Luis Florentino is fantastic odds for a booking at 3/1. The Portuguese defensive midfielder has picked up three Premier League bookings since joining on loan from Benfica, making 22 fouls in 16 appearances. He was also carded twice in the Champions League before making the switch to Turf Moor. It’ll be a physical battle between him and the likes of Bruno Fernandes, who has been fouled 26 times this season, and Casemiro, who has been fouled on 25 occasions. He’s excellent odds to be carded.
