Everton vs Sunderland Predictions, Betting Tips and 35/1 Bet Builder – FA Cup Third Round

Everton betting tips

It’s the return of the FA Cup this weekend as Sunderland travel to Merseyside to take on David Moyes and Everton. The all-Premier League tie is sure to be a close one in just the Third Round of the cup.

Everton have won just one of their last six matches and sit 12th in the Premier League, with eight wins from 21 games.

Sunderland have had a decent return to life in the Premier League, sitting in tenth place. They haven’t won in five, however, with their last win coming against rivals Newcastle on 14 December.

Everton vs Sunderland Bet Builder Predictions

  • Sunderland to win (14/5)
  • Both teams to score (1/1)
  • Wilson Isidor over 0.5 shots on target (16/25)
  • Granit Xhaka to be carded (11/4)

Sunderland to win (14/5)

Despite not winning in five games, I’m backing Sunderland to progress in this one with a win. The Black Cats have done well this season, with seven wins, nine draws and five defeats from 21 league matches – not bad for a newly promoted side. They drew with Everton, who have won just one of their last six matches – the last time they met was back in early November. I think Sunderland have been more impressive over the course of this season, and that’s why I’m backing them to win at good odds of 14/5. Bet on Sunderland to win at odds of 14/5 with one of the best 10 football betting sites.

ALTERNATIVE BET – Sunderland or draw @ 4/6

With a draw between these two last time they met, and both teams’ poor form of late, I wouldn’t be surprised if this one ended in a draw. Odds of 4/6 takes this bet builder to odds of 16/1 should you opt for this double chance selection.

BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Both teams to score @ 1/1

Both teams to score landed in that last fixture between those two in November, with the match ending a 1-1 draw. For Everton, both teams have scored in their last two matches, with both teams scoring in three of their last 10. For Sunderland, both teams have scored in four of their last 10. Those stats don’t scream goals, however, I think these two are fairly evenly matched. With a place in the next round up for grabs, I think both teams to score is good odds at evens.

Wilson Isidor over 0.5 shots on target (16/25)

Frenchman Wilson Isidor has had a decent season so far. The 25-year-old has scored four goals in the Premier League, in his 19 appearances. He has had a total of 33 shots, with 13 on target. That gives him an average of over 0.5 shots on target per game. Last season, he bagged 13 goals in the Championship for Sunderland. I think this one will be close, and both teams will create chances. I think there’s a good chance Isidor will get a shot on target in this one.

Granit Xhaka to be carded (11/4)

I’m backing ex-Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka to be carded. The 33-year-old Switzerland captain has picked up four yellow cards in his 21 league appearances this season, taking his tally to 68 Premier League cards overall, with 64 yellows and four reds in 246 appearances. This season, he has made 17 fouls, giving him an average of just under one card per match. I think he’s good odds to be carded in this fixture.
