Championship Southampton travel to London to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage this Sunday in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Fulham are 10th in the Premier League, while Southampton are seventh in the Championship.
Fulham have won 12 of their 29 league matches this season, drawing four and losing 13. They have won five of their last 10 in all competitions, losing five and drawing none.
Southampton are four points behind sixth-place Wrexham in the Championship, and have won 14, drawn 11 and lost 10 in the league this season. They are unbeaten in their last nine in all competitions.

I think Fulham will win this weekend against Southampton. It won’t be easy for the Cottagers however, with Saints having lost only one game in their last 10 in all competitions. That said, I think the Premier League quality will shine through, and the home side will come out on top. They come into this one off the back of a disappointing loss to West Ham, however, they put in a solid performance against Spurs to win the match prior, last weekend. Fulham are unbeaten in their last four matches against Southampton, and I think that trend will continue here.
ALTERNATIVE BET – match to end a draw after 90 minutes @ 7/2
7/2 is very tempting odds for a draw. I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one go to extra-time, and although I think Fulham would win from there, 7/2 is good odds for a draw, considering Saints are unbeaten in nine matches.
Harry Wilson over 0.5 shots on target (7/20)
I think Harry Wilson is a good shout to have one or more shots on target this weekend. The Fulham attacker has bagged 10 goals in all computes season, with nine in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup. In his 27 league outings, he has had a total of 58 shots, with 22 of them being on target, an average of more than 0.5 shots on target per game. He has also had two shots on target in his two FA Cup appearances this season, and I think he will have at least one this weekend.
BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Flynn Downes to be booked @ 9/4
I’m backing Southampton midfielder Flynn Downes to be carded in this fixture. The 27-year-old has picked up 11 bookings in all competitions this season, with nine in the Championship and one in each of the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup. He has made 49 fouls in 31 appearances in all competitions this season, an average of more than 1.5 fouls per game. I expect him to foul a couple of times here against a higher league opposition, and he’s the first of two Southampton players I think have a good chance of being carded.
Shea Charles to be booked (3/1)
The second player I think could be carded is Southampton defender Shea Charles. The Northern Irishman has picked up a total of five bookings this season, all in the Championship. He has made 31 fouls in 23 appearances in all competitions for Southampton so far this campaign. Coming up against strong attacking players here, I think he’s likely to make a number of fouls, and at 3/1 is excellent odds to pick up his sixth card of the season.
