Callum Wilson has played nine times in the Premier League this season, scoring a very respectable six goals in that time. Wilson has talked himself into contention for Gareth Southgate’s England World Cup squad, with his average rating per game being 8.10, and is one of the most in-form players in the league this season. Wilson averages 3.38 shots per game, with 1.38 of those being on target. I expect him to have a number of chances in this game and add to his already very impressive goal tally.

 

Mohammed Salisu to be booked

Mohammed Salisu has played 12 of Southampton’s 13 Premier League fixtures so far this season. The central defender has an excellent tackle success rate of 86%. However, I expect him to have a torrid time against this Newcastle side that will create a lot of chances. Between Almiron, Wilson and Joelinton, there are some of the most in-form players at the moment, and I think Salisu will be forced into making a number of fouls.
