Southampton vs Newcastle Bet Builder Tips for an 11/1 Super Sunday Bet
Southampton vs Newcastle bet builder tips for the second Super Sunday match on Sunday 6th November including a player to score anytime and a Southampton player to be booked. The odds for this one are 11/1.
The Saints have won just once in their last eight matches and they’ve only scored four goals in that run. Newcastle are in totally opposite form to this weekend’s opponents, winning five and drawing one in their last six matches and scoring 16 goals with Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron in sensational form of late.
There is a slight doubt about Callum Wilson’s participation in this match die to illness but we’re hoping he will be ready to start the match and land one of the legs of our Newcastle vs Southampton bet builder, which you can see below.
Southampton vs Newcastle Bet Builder Tips
- Newcastle to win
- Callum Wilson to score
- Mohammed Salisu to be booked
Newcastle to win
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are enjoying their best start to a Premier League campaign in a lot of years. The Magpies are sitting fourth in the table and have lost only one of their opening 13 games, winnings six and drawing six. They have won five of their last six matches, and haven’t lost a game since their defeat to Liverpool at the end of August. Southampton have only won one of their last eight fixtures, and have won only three games this season. I expect Newcastle to continue their fine form and pick up three points in this one.
Callum Wilson to score
Callum Wilson has played nine times in the Premier League this season, scoring a very respectable six goals in that time. Wilson has talked himself into contention for Gareth Southgate’s England World Cup squad, with his average rating per game being 8.10, and is one of the most in-form players in the league this season. Wilson averages 3.38 shots per game, with 1.38 of those being on target. I expect him to have a number of chances in this game and add to his already very impressive goal tally.
Mohammed Salisu to be booked
Mohammed Salisu has played 12 of Southampton’s 13 Premier League fixtures so far this season. The central defender has an excellent tackle success rate of 86%. However, I expect him to have a torrid time against this Newcastle side that will create a lot of chances. Between Almiron, Wilson and Joelinton, there are some of the most in-form players at the moment, and I think Salisu will be forced into making a number of fouls. He has picked up three cards already this season, and I won’t be surprised if he has his name taken by the referee in this one. I think this is an excellent addition to the bet builder.
