Transfer Betting: 4 Premier League stars who could be set for a hectic end to the January transfer window
With Chelsea once again breaking the bank as they snatched Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal worth up to £89million, it has already been a hectic January transfer market so far.
As Premier League clubs from both ends of the table look to strengthen before the window slams shut, it is no surprise that many are expecting a record-breaking spend from England’s elite.
However, as we inch closer to what could be another pulsating January Deadline Day, there still remains plenty of business that needs to be completed.
Ahead of what looks set to be a frantic final fortnight in the January transfer window, we have taken a look at four Premier League stars who could still be on the move.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Chelsea
Splashing more cash last weekend as they welcomed Mudryk to Stamford Bridge, it now appears that Chelsea are keen on slashing their bumper wage bill.
With new boss Graham Potter failing to offer the former Premier League champions much stability since arriving in west London, the Blues have also shown some extended issues in the final third.
Although Chelsea might have brought Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang back to the capital last summer following a brief stint with Barcelona, the ex-Arsenal talisman has failed to find his feet in SW6.
Clearly playing second fiddle to German international Kai Havertz, it has been widely suggested that Aubameyang could already be on his way out of Stamford Bridge over the coming weeks
Failing to cement his spot as Potter’s leading man and without a Premier League strike since October 1st, The Telegraph are reporting that Barcelona are assessing a viable way to bring the 33-year-old back to Catalonia.
🇫🇷 Fofana – £71m
🇪🇸 Cucurella – £58m
🏴 Sterling – £50m
🇫🇷 Badiashile – £34m
🇸🇳 Kouliably – £34m
🏴 Chukwuemeka – £16m
🇧🇷 Santos – £11m
🇬🇦 Aubameyang – £11m
🇨🇮 Fofana – £11m
🇵🇹 Felix – £10m
🇺🇸 Slonina – £8m
🇨🇭 Zakaria – £3m
🇫🇷 Nkunku – £63m (reportedly)Insane… 🤯 pic.twitter.com/eHkdaDKrGY

Leandro Trossard – Brighton
Although Leandro Trossard might still find himself as Brighton’s joint-top Premier League goalscorer this season, the Belgian international appears almost certain to be on his way out of the Amex this month.
Despite bagging seven top-flight strikes and once again shinning at last month’s World Cup, the 28-year-old is currently in the midst of a public battle with new boss Roberto De Zerbi.
Frozen out of Brighton’s first-team plans and with Trossard’s agent stating that the 24-cap international is desperate to secure a move away, it is believed that the Seagulls have reluctantly agreed to sell their attacking star.
With it appearing like there is no way back for Trossard on the south coast, it is no secret that the ex-Genk man has a string of Premier League admirers.
Along with constant speculation surrounding a move to Tottenham this month, The Mirror are also reporting that Trossard’s agent has offered his client to north London rivals Arsenal.
Trossard’s Next Club Odds (club after January transfer window)
- Tottenham – 7/4
- Arsenal – 4/1
- Newcastle – 6/1
- Chelsea – 8/1
- Man United – 14/1

Anthony Elanga – Manchester United
While Anthony Elanga might have made an immediate impact after bursting onto the scene at Old Trafford last season, the Swedish international now finds himself on the outside looking in.
Despite enjoying an extended run following Eric ten Hag’s arrival last summer, the 20-year-old has failed to find any real stability under the former Ajax boss on either side of the World Cup break.
Not making a Premier League start since United’s 2-1 victory away at Fulham on November 13th, Elanga has also failed to open his domestic account so far this season.
With Alejandro Garnacho continuing to impress and United breaking the bank on £81million arrival of Antony last summer, The Metro are reporting that Everton are desperate to snap up Elanga on a loan basis.
As regular first-team action seems unlikely at Old Trafford, the Red Devils are open to allowing Elanga to leave on a temporary basis.
Anthony Elanga Next Club Odds (club after January transfer window)
- Borussia Dortmund – 8/11 (SkyBet)
- Everton – 5/1
- Crystal Palace – 20/1

Jamaal Lascelles – Newcastle
While Newcastle might be in the midst of what has become a famous campaign at St. James’ Park, the Magpies’ skipper has been forced to watch on from the sidelines.
Although Jamaal Lascelles might have played a vital role in Newcastle’s charge for Premier League safety last season, the 29-year-old has freefallen down Eddie Howe’s defensive pecking order.
With ex-Lille defender Sven Botman only continuing to shine since arriving in the Premier League last summer, Football Insider are reporting that Lascelles could be allowed to leave the north east this month.
With it suggested that the former Bournemouth boss has placed an £8million price tag on Newcastle’s club captain, it is believed that Wolves have registered an interest in striking a potential deal.
Making just seven appearances across all competitions so far this season, Lascelles will undoubtedly be seeking regular first-team action before the window slams shut.
