Spurs betting tips

Our 16/1 Tottenham vs Brighton bet builder tip for Saturday’s Premier League clash. Kick-off is at 5:30pm BST at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, live on Sky Sports.

Relegation-threatened Spurs host Brighton in what could be a pivotal evening in the bottom-three battle. Roberto De Zerbi takes charge of Spurs for only the second time following last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at Sunderland, while Brighton arrive on the back of five wins from their last six, with their eye on European football. Our tipster has found a 16/1 bet builder combining Brighton to win, both teams to score, Danny Welbeck over 0.5 shots on target and Carlos Baleba to be booked.

Relegation strugglers Spurs welcome Brighton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Saturday as they look to steer away from the bottom three.

Spurs have gone 14 Premier League matches without a win, with their last league victory coming against Crystal Palace back in late December, almost four months ago. They are 18th in the league, two points adrift from safety.

Brighton are in the midst of a great run of form, with five wins in their last six Premier League matches. They are ninth in the league, level on points with Sunderland who are one place below them.

Best Bet Builder Tip – Brighton to Win (7/5)

With Tottenham’s dreadful run of form, I fancy Brighton to win this one away from home. The Seagulls are also in a good run of form, with five victories from their last six matches in the Premier League. If current form is to continue for both sides, everything points to a win for the away side in this one. The last game between these two ended in a 2-2 draw, but I fancy Brighton to come away with all three points this weekend.

Both Teams to Score (4/7)

With that 2-2 draw in mind, I think both teams to score is a great bet. At home, Spurs will be feeling the pressure of their home fans given the position they’re in, and I think they’ll need to go for it from the off, as they scrap for points at the bottom. Spurs have scored in seven of their last 10 in all competitions, conceding in each of them, while Brighton have scored in their last six, conceding on seven occasions. Both teams have scored in the last six meetings between these two, and I expect that to happen again this weekend.

Danny Welbeck Over 0.5 Shots on Target (4/7)

Veteran striker Danny Welbeck is the man I’m backing to have one or more shots on target this weekend. The 35-year-old has bagged 13 goals in all competitions this season, with 12 in the league and one in the FA Cup. He has had 47 shots in total in the league this season, with 22 of them being on target, an average of more than 0.5 per match. I think Brighton will create chances here, and if one of them falls to Welbeck, I expect him to at least hit the target.

Carlos Baleba to be Booked (9/4)

Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba is great odds to be carded at 9/4. The Cameroonian has been carded nine times so far this season – all in the Premier League – with eight yellows and one red card in 34 appearances for Brighton. Although I expect Brighton to win, Spurs will do their best to control the game, especially in the middle of the park, and I expect Baleba to make a number of fouls. I think there’s a good chance that Baleba will pick up his 10th card of the season in this one.

Alternative Bet – Danny Welbeck to Score @ 8/5

Taking Welbeck to score over having one or more shots on target increases the odds of this bet builder to 22/1, with the best odds including this combination being with Bet MGM. Given Spurs poor record, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him score here.
