Racing is Star Sports’ heritage — the business started as Star Racing and the on-course bookmaking roots still show. But there’s a significant caveat, and it’s recent. On 1 December 2025, Star Sports withdrew Best Odds Guaranteed for all customers. BOG is the concession that pays you at SP if the price you took drifts, and its loss matters for anyone who takes early prices — you now carry the full risk of a drift. Star Boosts are the stated replacement, and while enhanced prices on selected runners have real value, a boost on a handful of horses isn’t the same as a guarantee across every bet you place.
