EasyBet is the newest and most ambitious entry into the UK betting market — the official sportsbook and betting exchange of easyGroup, the conglomerate behind easyJet, easyHotel and the rest of Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s “easy” brand.
Launched in late 2024, EasyBet combines a traditional sportsbook with a peer-to-peer betting exchange in a single platform, powered by Matchbook’s exchange technology. The orange livery is unmistakable, the brand recognition is enormous, and the hybrid sportsbook-plus-exchange model is genuinely rare in the UK market.
But EasyBet is also new, raw, and still building out its product. Sports coverage is narrower than established competitors at around 18-40 sports depending on how you count exchange and sportsbook markets. Live streaming is non-existent. The welcome offer at £20 in free bets is below the £30-£50 norm for £10-stake offers. The app reviews are mixed, particularly on iOS. And whilst the easyJet brand is famous, that fame does not automatically translate to bookmaker trust — different industries, different reputations.
