42/1 Bookings Treble for this Weekend’s Football Fixtures

Bookings tips

We have asked Jamie to look through this weekend’s football fixtures and pick out three players to be carded in their matches for a 42/1 treble.

There are tips from Saturday’s AFCON, the Championship match between Stoke and Birmingham and Monday’s Premier League fixture between Brighton and Wolves.

At the time of writing, bet365 are the best odds for this bookings bet at 42/1 and you can find out all about the bet365 £30 sign-up offer for 2024 if you need an account.

Algeria vs Burkina Faso Tip – Steeve Yago to be carded

Algeria face Burkina Faso in what is already a massive game so early in this tournament. Algeria come into this game having drawn against Angola, whilst Burkina Faso top the group after beating Mauritania. Arguably Algeria’s best player, right winger and captain Riyadh Mahrez, is a player that consistently draws fouls. This is evident by being fouled 3 times against Angola, causing the Angola wing-back facing him to be carded. Burkina Faso left back Steeve Yago will directly face Mahrez in this game. Yago committed 4 fouls in his country’s game against Mauritania, and he has a great card record in recent seasons, picking up 4 yellow cards and 1 red card in 9 league games for Aris Limassol this season.

Stoke vs Birmingham Tip – Krystian Bielik to be carded

Birmingham City’s defensive midfielder Krystian Bielik has committed 38 fouls in 23 league games this season, being yellow carded 6 times and sent off once. An opposition central midfielder has been booked against Stoke in 8 of their last 10 games, including in the reverse fixture in December, a game that Bielik missed through suspension. Last season, Bielik was booked in the first half of both games between these sides, committing 2 fouls in each game.

Brighton vs Wolves Tip – Nelson Semedo to be carded

Brighton have played against a back 5 twice this season, and on both occasions, the opposition right wing-back was carded. With highly fouled Joao Pedro starting on the left side of Brighton’s attack in their last 2 games, it has also contributed towards the opposition right back being booked in both games. Wolves fullback Nelson Semedo has been booked 5 times this season, making 45 tackles and committing 28 fouls in 19 league starts. With Wolves likely playing a back 5 in this game, as they have often done this season, this will see Semedo start at right wing-back. After being sent off against Brighton last season, Semedo will be expected to get stuck in again here. Referee Craig Pawson officiates this game, and he has handed out 46 yellow cards and 3 red cards in 10 Premier League games this season.
