Three Weekend Premier League Bookings Tips for a 70/1 Treble

Bookings tips

We have asked Jamie to pick out three Premier League players to be booked this weekend and the odds for all three players to be carded are 70/1 with BetUK.

Beware that the odds for this treble are not available with many bookies and a lot of them are offering much shorter odds so BetUK really are the bookies of choice here. The same bet is only 39/1 with William Hill and 22/1 with bet365.

Luton vs Crystal Palace – Alfie Doughty to be carded 14/5

Luton fullback Alfie Doughty has a strong bookings record since signing for Luton at the start of the 22/23 season. Despite only being booked once in 9 starts this season, He was carded in 11 games last season. His booking this season came when he was facing Aston Villa’s tricky winger Diaby, and he faces a tougher task here opposing Jordan Ayew, the most fouled player in the Premier League this season.

In the 12 games that Ayew has played, the opposition LB has been booked on 4 occasions, with all LBs making a combined 21 fouls. He has been fouled 3.4 times per game, and the only time that Ayew wasn’t fouled 2 or more times in a game was when he played only 25 minutes against Villa. Referee Jarred Gillett has handed out 30 cards in 7 games in all comps this season.

Sheffield United vs Bournemouth – Oliver Norwood to be carded 4/1

By having an average of 1 foul per game across his 421 game career, yet receiving 42 bookings across the 5 seasons prior to this, it shows the cynical nature of Oliver Norwood’s fouls. This season, Norwood has been booked in 3 of his 9 starts, with 2 bookings coming in games where he made a single foul, and the other in a game where no foul was recorded. Norwood’s fouling average has increased in the past 5 games, recording 7 fouls, and with the cynical nature of his game, he is overpriced to receive a card.

In 8 of Bournemouth’s 12 games this season, an opposition central midfielder has been carded and with Andy Madley as ref (44 cards given in 8 Premier League games) in this important game between two sides at the wrong-end of the table, there’s likely to be plenty of cards handed out.

Spurs vs Aston Villa – Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg to be carded 14/5

With consistent starter Yves Bissouma missing in Spurs’ midfield this coming weekend due to suspension, it gives opportunity to Danish international Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to display his qualities. Despite only starting 2 league games this season, Hojbjerg has been booked on 3 occasions. In both sub appearances that he made a foul, he was booked. In half of Villa’s games this season, an opposition central midfielder has been booked, and in the last 6 meetings between these sides, a Spurs midfielder has been carded (including Hojberg twice). It would not be a surprise to see this continue in a game between 4th and 5th in the league, with Rob Jones officiating – having given 49 cards in 9 Premier League games this season.
