There’s plenty of ITV Racing action to look forward to this week, with three days of racing at York, kicking off on Wednesday.
Five races will be shown live from the Knavesmire alongside one from Yarmouth. The feature of the day is the Group Two Minster Stakes, while there could be an Epsom Oaks clue with the Group Three Musidora Stakes also on the day one card at York.

14:20 York — Sky Bet Race To The Ebor Jorvik Handicap (GBBPlus Race) Cl2 (4yo+) 1m4f
Selection: STRESSFREE
Stressfree finished a close second in this race twelve months ago, and it might be worth chancing David O’Meara’s charge to go one better this time around.
The Anodin gelding was only beaten a head on that occasion, but he struck next time at Haydock and largely ran creditably in defeat thereafter including when finishing third in the Old Borough Cup off 1lb higher than today’s mark.
He shaped nicely on his reappearance at Ripon last month, beaten only one length by Prydwen, although plenty went wrong for him in that race where he was hampered and denied a run at a crucial stage before finishing off his race well.
This track suits him, having also finished fourth off this mark in the Ebor last August and sure to be sharper for his return to action he can go close here.

14:40 Yarmouth — Sky Sports Racing 415 Handicap Cl3 (4yo+ 0-90) 5f
Selection: ALMATY STAR
Almaty Star has been competitive off this mark in the past, and Robert Cowell’s charge can follow up his latest win over C&D last month.
The Kodiac gelding was winning for the first time in more than one year when beating Pixie Diva by two lengths, but he had largely run well in defeat off higher marks than his current 83 rating, including when third at Southwell off 87 last April.
He’s back up in grade following his latest victory, where he won well, and the third home boosted that form next time when successful at Windsor. He remains on a winnable mark despite an 8lbs rise and proven here he can give another good account.
14:55 York — Churchill Tyres Handicap Cl2 (4yo+ 0-105) 6f
Selection: TROPICAL STORM
His latest third-place effort aside, Tropical Storm’s form figures don’t make much inspired reading. However, Andrew Balding’s charge might be worth an interest back at a venue where he’s won twice.
The Eqtidaar gelding won the Listed Westow Stakes at this fixture twelve months ago when rated 10lbs above his current mark, although he failed to trouble the judge in any of his subsequent runs. Better for his reappearance at Musselburgh in soft ground, he ran well to finish fourth, four lengths behind Lexington Blitz at Goodwood latest, conceding first run, and he could do better if remaining in similar form.
Off this mark, he’s dangerous if able to produce his best, and the application of a visor might well sharpen him up further. A big run wouldn’t come as a surprise given he’s shown he can be competitive off this rating, and with two wins here, he can make the frame.
15:30 York — Go Local Stores Minster Stakes (Group 2) Cl1 (3yo+) 6f
Selection: AMERICAN AFFAIR
American Affair has won first time up for each of the past two seasons, and Jim Goldie’s Group One winner can make it a hat-trick of reappearance victories.
The Washington DC gelding won three of his four starts last term, which included a competitive handicap at this meeting twelve months ago, and he was last seen beating Frost At Dawn in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot.
He suffered a setback after and wasn’t seen out again, but he made his return at a venue that has seen him successful in the past. He has done most of his recent winning at five furlongs, but he has won over this trip and further in the past so stamina ought not to be an issue and assuming he can bring his five-furlong form to this longer distance, then he could make another winning return.
16:05 York — Tattersalls Musidora Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) Cl1 (3yo) 1m2½f
Selection: MOMENTS OF JOY
Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore teamed up to win this twelve months ago, and the duo can combine again with Moments of Joy, who shaped better than the bare result on her reappearance at the Curragh last month.
The Justify filly was a debut winner last term before finishing a solid third to Humidity in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot. She took another step forward when upped to Group company, finishing runner-up in a Group Three back at the Curragh and she rounded off her season with a highly creditable fifth in the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket.
Reopposing Legacy Link was just ahead of her that day, but the Ballydoyle runner has the advantage of race fitness, having returned in unsuitable ground last month to finish sixth behind Celestial Orbit, and she could do better back on a quicker surface.
She does have to prove stamina for this longer trip, but if she sees out the extra distance, then it wouldn’t come as a shock to see her going close for her in-form connections.
16:40 York — Conundrum HR Consulting Handicap Cl3 (3yo 0-95) 7f
Selection: INISHBEG
Inishbeg looks one going the right way, and Kevin Ryan’s charge can double up on his recent breakthrough victory at Thirsk last month.
The Ghaiyyath colt built on a promising debut here last month to find only one too good at Redcar. That race-winner has won twice since, while the third horse has also tasted subsequent success.
Having shaped well despite appearing to need the run at Newcastle in March, he got off the mark latest when beating Fozzie by one length; that one has run well again since, while the seventh home in the race has won since.
Now dipping his hoof into handicap waters he could be fairly treated off an initial 87, given he’s likely to have further improvement to come and much less exposed than a few of these, he could be the way to go in the TV closer.
