The final day of Royal Ascot 2026 brings a top-quality seven-race card with the Group One Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Stakes as the day’s centrepiece. ITV Racing covers the full card.
Henry’s seven selections cover every race on the card. NAP is Joliestar in the 15:40 Diamond Jubilee Stakes — the in-form Australian sprinter making the trip to Ascot to take on the world’s best over 6 furlongs. NB is Into The Sky in the 16:20 Jersey Stakes — Jim Boyle’s three-year-old dropping back to 7f after a 2000 Guineas effort. Three each-way plays are Where Love Lives, Ten Pounds, and A Piece Of Heaven in the marathon Queen Alexandra finale.

14:30 Royal Ascot — Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) (2yo) 5f — EW
The opener on the final day is the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes. A race for the 2 year-olds over 5f.
I’ve landed on WHERE LOVE LIVES (12/1) EW for the Kevin Ryan stable. Unbeaten in two starts, he followed up his debut victory at Thirsk with a gutsy win at listed level at Sandown last time out. That experience will have done him no harm, and the form has since been boosted with the second running a huge race in the Coventry Stakes on Tuesday. The Coventry Stakes is arguably the strongest of the 2-year-old races, so if you take a line through that form he has to have a strong chance in here. The yard have won this race before so they know what it takes, and I expect Where Loves Lives to put up a bold display here in the opener.
Selection: Where Love Lives — Each-Way
15:05 Royal Ascot — Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2) 1m4f
Next on the card is the Hardwicke Stakes, a Group 2 contest over 1m4f.
The horse I like is GOLIATH (9/2), who seems to save his best for this track. Second in this contest two years ago, he’s also a Group 1 King George winner over this course and distance. He was last seen winning well at Group 2 level back in his homeland of France, suggesting he’s in decent nick and the stable have already been in the winners’ enclosure this week with Map Of Stars bolting up on Tuesday. Goliath won’t mind what the ground does and stall 10 is no bad thing on the round track here.
Selection: Goliath to win
15:40 Royal Ascot — Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Stakes (Group 1) 6f — NAP
The 3:40 is the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Stakes over 6 furlongs.
I expect JOLIESTAR (15/8) NAP to take a good bit of beating here. The Aussie sprinters are just better than sprinters from other parts of the world, and Joliestar is one of the best around in Australia, so she should be winning this if the ground doesn’t turn soft. She comes into this winning all of her last three starts, and she’s expected to be tough to beat. Overpass went close earlier in the week for the Aussies, and she is a better horse than him.
Selection: Joliestar — NAP
16:20 Royal Ascot — Jersey Stakes (Group 3) (3yo) 7f — NB
The Group 3 Jersey Stakes comes up at 4:20. A 7f contest restricted to 3-year-olds.
I do like INTO THE SKY (5/1) NB in here for Jim Boyle. He made a brilliant start to his career at two, bolting up at Newbury despite going off at 80/1. He followed that up with a close second in the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes to end his short 2-year-old campaign, where he definitely looked the one to take out of the race moving forward. He appeared to show us just that when running a cracker in the 2000 Guineas on return, finishing 4th. The mile trip stretched him there, and this 7f trip with that run under his belt looks ideal. Chasing home Bow Echo and Gstaad is no bad form line.
Selection: Into The Sky — Next Best
17:00 Royal Ascot — Wokingham Stakes (Handicap) 6f — EW
The competitive Wokingham Stakes over 6f is next at 5:00.
I think TEN POUNDS (11/1) EW can run a big race in this. He was a fine third in it last year, and I’d be pretty sure this has been a primary target for the 2026 campaign. He returned to form at the right time when staying on strongly for second at Carlisle last time out over 5f. He is 3lb well in and now steps back up to 6f, which is his optimum. He has the services of Jamie Spencer, which, as we know, is no bad thing on the Ascot straight track.
Selection: Ten Pounds — Each-Way
17:35 Royal Ascot — Golden Gates Stakes (Handicap) (3yo) 1m2f
The 5:35 is the Golden Gates Stakes, a handicap over 1m2f for 3-year-olds.
I think LOST BOYS (7/2) is better than a handicapper and I’d expect him to show us that here. Last seen winning the competitive London Gold Cup Handicap despite still showing signs of inexperience, that form will be strong, and he’s entitled to come forward from that effort. He was well-backed on the day, suggesting connections were quietly confident and as a result, he’s now been purchased by Wathnan. He’s up 7lb, but I don’t think that’ll stop him going in again today.
Selection: Lost Boys to win
18:10 Royal Ascot — Queen Alexandra Stakes (Marathon) 2m6f — EW
We end the week with the marathon Queen Alexandra Stakes over 2 miles and 6 furlongs.
The selection is A PIECE OF HEAVEN (7/1) EW to end Joseph O’Brien’s stellar week with another victory. A Piece Of Heaven is a really consistent 8-year-old now, and he was a good winner of the Chester Cup last time out, a competitive handicap that often works out well throughout the season. He’s an uncomplicated sort, and I think this trip will be absolutely fine for him. He offers good each-way value in an open finale.
Selection: A Piece Of Heaven — Each-Way

The Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes: Day 5’s Centrepiece
The Diamond Jubilee Stakes is the only Group 1 race on Saturday’s card and traditionally one of the standout sprints of the entire Royal Ascot week. The 6-furlong championship contest regularly attracts the best sprinters from across the world — Australian, American, Asian and European raiders all bidding for the same prize.
Henry’s NAP — Joliestar — represents the strongest line into the race. The Australian sprinter arrives off three straight wins and Henry’s “Aussie sprinters are just better than sprinters from other parts of the world” framing has the form-line support of Overpass running well earlier in the week. The ground condition is the main variable — Joliestar’s price could shift significantly if the ground turns soft.
The Queen Alexandra Stakes finale at 18:10 is the longest flat race in the calendar at 2m6f — a unique test of stamina that closes the meeting. Henry’s each-way play A Piece Of Heaven brings Chester Cup-winning form and the trip should suit perfectly.
