Quite a disappointing turnout for this Group One with just five runners. DIAMOND NECKLACE (4/6) gets the vote to continue her unbeaten record and extend her sequence to six.
Aidan O’Brien’s charge won three times last term on varying ground, culminating in victory in a French Group One; the St Mark’s Basilica filly has continued her progression this term, adding further Group One victories at Longchamp and Chantilly respectively, the latter in the Prix de Diane.
Those wins all came on significantly softer ground, but she’s shown she could handle good ground in the past, although she is yet to encounter a surface this quick. If she handles the conditions then she’s likely to prove tough to beat here.

An impressive Carlisle winner first time up, MIA FANTASIA (4/1) lost no caste in defeat when finishing third behind Dr Rascal in a valuable novice race at Ascot latest, and Hugo Palmer’s charge could be worth chancing on his handicap debut.
The Make Believe colt struck at the first time of asking with a two lengths’ defeat of The First Drop, after which he was beaten six lengths into third, not helped by a poor start. That form has been franked, however, the winner going on to land the Vintage Stakes here on Tuesday.
Switching to handicaps now, he could prove well treated off an opening mark of 79; with potential for plenty of improvement to come, he can get back on the scoresheet.
