Iran vs Wales Bet Builder Tips – 6/1 Prediction for the Group B Clash

World Cup 2022 betting tips

Iran vs Wales bet builder tips and predictions for the opening match on Friday 25th November. Iran were nothing short of dreadful against England in their opening match and this is a must win game for Wales if they want to progress to the last 16.

It looks set to be a close run thing between Wales and USA for the second qualifying spot if the results from here go as expected and Wales will know three points here are vital. The Welsh side are 6/5 to win this game with Iran best odds 3/1. The draw is 9/4.

Iran cannot possibly be as bad as they were against England on Monday but they did score from one of their very few chances and then got a last minute penalty which was dubious to say the least, so Wales will still have to be on their guard.

For our Iran vs Wales bet builder tip, we have picked out three predictions you can see them below. A £10 bet would return £70 if this one is a winner and using the bet365 sign-up offer for the World Cup will get you £50 in free bets too.

Wales to win

After a late Gareth Bale penalty secured a point for Wales in their opening game, they’ll be looking for their first three points of the tournament in this one against Iran. Iran were hammered 6-2 in their opening game by Wales’ neighbours England, and I expect them to be on the wrong side of defeat again in this one. Wales are a dangerous team and I think they’ll have more than enough to beat Iran and leave their opponents at the foot of the Group B table.

Gareth Bale to score

Gareth Bale has been Wales’ go to man for a good number of years now and despite not playing in one of Europe’s elite leagues anymore, the Los Angeles FC man showed he can still turn it on for his country in their opening game against the USA, bagging a late goal from the spot. With Iran losing six goals in their opening fixture, Wales will surely get a lot of chances and I expect Gareth Bale to get his second goal of the tournament here.

Mehdi Taremi over 0.5 shots on target

Mehdi Taremi was Iran’s bright spark in their opening day disappointment to England. As the Iranians lost 6-2, Taremi was the man who scored both of their goals with the Porto striker grabbing a goal in the 65th minute then scoring from the spot in the last minute of stoppage time. For Porto this season, he averages 3.11 shots per match, with 1.31 being on target. Iran will be looking to bounce back from their defeat to England and will be quick out the blocks as they try to avoid defeat to Rob Page’s side. I think Taremi will get at least one shot on target in this one.
