What is BOYLE Sports Sub Swap?

Sub Swap is Boylesports’ version of the Super Sub feature offered by bet365, Sky Bet, and Paddy Power. The core mechanic is the same across all bookmakers: if you back a player in a qualifying market and they are substituted before the market settles, your bet rolls onto the player who comes on in their place rather than being settled as a loser.

The feature addresses one of the most frustrating outcomes in bet builder and player market betting — the early substitution. If you bet on a player and they’re substituted, the bet would normally be a loser. Sub Swap removes that outcome entirely for qualifying markets.

You do not need to opt in to Sub Swap. It activates automatically when the Sub Swap icon is visible on the market you are betting on. Look for the icon on the match page or in your betslip before confirming your bet.

How Boylesports Sub Swap Works — Step by Step

2. Select a qualifying player market — for example, Erling Haaland to have 1+ shot on target
3. Add to your betslip, either as a single, multiple, or as a leg in a bet builder
4. Confirm your bet — Sub Swap is automatically applied, no opt-in required
5. If your selected player is substituted before the market settles, the bet transfers to the substitute
6. If the substitute is later also substituted, the bet passes on again to the next replacement
7. Your bet settles based on the final player’s performance in 90 minutes of normal time

Practical example: You back Erling Haaland to score anytime for Manchester City. Haaland doesn’t score and is substituted in the 60th minute for Omar Marmoush. Under Sub Swap, your bet transfers to Marmoush to score anytime. Marmoush is then substituted for Oscar Bobb. Your bet passes again to Bobb. If Bobb scores before the final whistle, your bet wins. The original player — Haaland — still shows in your betslip, with the final player appearing as the active selection.
