US Masters 2023 Betting Tips – 7/1, 25/1 and 66/1 Selections and an 80/1 Outsider Bet

The first of four majors is fast approaching on the golf calendar as we head to Augusta National for The 2023 Masters and we have picked out four players for win and each-way betting tips on the first major of the season.

Arguably the most exciting tournament of the year and it looks set to be a fascinating renewal. The top three golfers in the world will take a lot of attention and for obvious reasons. Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm have been in brilliant form this season and all boast strong records here at Augusta.

 

US Masters 2023 Winner Prediction

It’s hard to say the winner won’t come from them three but the one I would want on my side is SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER (8/1 with Betfred). The 2022 Masters Champion on his third appearance here at Augusta never looked in doubt as he dominated from start to finish. A three-shot victory in the end that included a 4-putt on his final hole. He went from strength to strength last season and given the fact he’d never won a major, he handled the situation impressively last year given he had a big lead after 36 holes and didn’t falter.

Caddy Ted Scott seems the perfect match for Scottie and the trust they have for one another is a key asset. He’s been in strong form again this season with victories at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and The Players Championship. Arguably, he’s in similar form to last season which is encouraging.

Augusta National just seems made for him as he seems to have no flaws in his game, being strong in all departments and having an excellent touch around the greens. His wedge play is phenomenal and he’s the world number one for a reason. I’m surprised he’s not clear favourite truth be told.

 

US Masters 2023 Each-way Betting Tip

The next player I’d be interested in would be JASON DAY (25/1 with Betfred). We’ve seen the resurgence of Jason Day this season, back in form and back in full health. He had a difficult time with back issues and vertigo along with the unfortunate passing of his mother which was having its effect on the golf course. However, he has shown strong consistent form throughout this season and he’ll be excited to get back to Augusta after missing out in 2022.

He brings that potent combination in of strong recent form and strong course form which is always crucial here. He has three top 5s here in 11 appearances which includes a runner-up finish on his debut. He arguably already should own a green jacket. He’s a former World Number 1 with 12 PGA Tour wins including a major so there’s no concerns on that front. I expect him to be in the mix.

 

US Masters 2023 Big Odds Betting Tip

Next up would be JUSTIN ROSE (66/1 with Coral). A regular here at Augusta, he brings plenty of knowledge and experience to the table. This will be his 18th visit here to Augusta and he’s only missed the cut twice. He has twice finished runner-up here too and his record is as good as anyone. He was a winner earlier this season at Pebble Beach which would have gave him a lot of confidence after a quiet spell. He was impressive down the stretch there which was encouraging and he’ll be relishing another visit to Augusta with a recent win.

 

US Masters 2023 Outsider Betting Tip

There is always one or two players that mix it near the top of the leaderboard and I’m sure we will see that again this year. One outsider who I think could go well is MIN WOO LEE (80/1 with Betfred). This will only be his second visit to Augusta but his debut last year was very encouraging. He finished Tied 14th in the end which shows the talent Lee has. He’s been in strong form in 2023 with three top 15 finishes already.

He was in the final group at Sawgrass last month and I think he’d have learnt a lot from that. He will come in fresh after a week off and I’m sure he’ll be raring to go. Augusta is well suited to his game style as he’s an aggressive player but he boasts an excellent short game which often excels round here. His sister Minjee Lee is a major winner on the LPGA and he’ll be itching to follow her success on the PGA Tour I’m sure.
