Half Time Full Time Predictions

Half Time/Full Time Betting is almost an extension on the popular Match Result market and is becoming an ever-popular way to bet on football and earn that extra little bit of profit.

It’s a game of two halves is the ultimate football cliche and you can take advantage of that.

If you’re looking to take your betting beyond betting on a team to win, take a look out Half Time/Full Time betting tips today!

Below you’ll find all you need to know about Half Time/Full Time betting including what it is and the best bookmakers to play with.

What Is Half Time/Full Time Betting?

A Half Time/Full Time bet (or HT/FT) is essentially two bets rolled into one, where you predict who will be winning at half time, followed by who will be winning at full time.

Sometimes known as a Double Result bet, it really is that simple. Naturally, there are plenty of combinations which can be backed and to win both parts of the bet need to come through.

The nine combinations in which you can play with a Half Time/Full time bet are as follows:

  • Home/Home
  • Home/Draw
  • Home/Away
  • Draw/Home
  • Draw/Draw
  • Draw/Away
  • Away/Home
  • Away/Draw
  • Away/Away

Odds will of course vary depending on which combination you choose, with Home/Away usually giving the best odds. This will be dependent on the teams playing and there are a number of ways you can play a Half-Time/Full-Time bet.

In our Half Time/Full-Time soccer predictions, you will see something like ArsenalHT/Arsenal FT – this means we expect and require Arsenal to be winning at half-time AND full-time for the bet to be a winner.

Draw HT/Arsenal FT would mean a draw at half-time and Arsenal to be winning at full-time would be required.

So, let’s say Arsenal were taking on Chelsea in the Premier League. In this instance, you want to place a Draw/Arsenal HT/FT wager.

If Chelsea take the lead in the first half, Arsenal would have to level before half time for your bet to still be on. If Chelsea were to maintain that lead, the best would lose.

If Arsenal were to go up before half time, the bet would also lose. However, a draw would carry your wager into the second half. In order for you to win, the second half of the bet would then be required to come through, meaning Arsenal would have to win.

The score can change hands as many times as it wants, as long as Arsenal finish winning the game your bet will win.

How To Place A Half-Time/Full-Time Bet

Placing a Half-Time/Full-Time bet is really easy. Most major bookmakers include this market on most matches, whether it be the Premier League, Champions League, La Liga or even as low as League Two.

To place a bet all you need to do is log-in or sign-up to a bookmaker account (check out our bookmakers page for all our favourite sites) and head to the football section of their site.

You’ll find dozens of leagues to bet on and hundreds of games. To find the HT/FT betting market, click on the game you want to bet on and open up the markets available.

Among them you’ll find Half Time/Full Time. All you then need to do is select the outcome you predict will happen, add the bet to your bet slip and place your bets.

When To Place A Half Time/Full-Time Bet

One of the most common occurrences people play a Half Time/Full-Time bet is when a punter expects a side to earn a clear win. The odds on a Half Time/Full-Time bet will generally have better odds than a typical To Win/Match Result bet.

However, there are plenty of other occasions when a Half Time/Full-Time bet is worth taking a punt on. It’s well worth studying the form of teams. For example, if a team has a habit of scoring late rather than during the early stages, you may fancy a Draw/Win bet of some description, while if teams regularly get off to a flying start but concede late on, a Home(or Away)/Draw might be the likely bet to place.

Knowing the trends within team performances is generally key to Half Time/Full-Time betting while studying recent form will also give you a good indicator of how clubs will perform in each half.

Can I Place A Half Time/Full Time Accumulator?

If you want to take Half Time/Full Time betting to the next level, you can even add a string of the wagers into an accumulator and really boost your odds.

The HT/FT market will already offer better odds than the To Win market, but you can increase those even further with an accumulator. Of course, winning the bet is much harder, but the payouts can be astronomical. The more games you put in your HT/FT accumulator, the bigger the payout, but the bigger the risk.
