About Ffos Las Racecourse
Ffos Las is the youngest racecourse in Britain, opened in 2009 on the site of a former opencast coal mine in Carmarthenshire, west Wales. The left-handed, mostly flat course is one mile around with a chase track that includes a gentle downhill run from the third-last fence to the second-last — a feature that often shapes how races unfold over the smaller obstacles.
