This Weekend’s Football Accumulator Tips

Our weekend acca is posted on Friday morning, once the latest team news and injury updates are in from press conferences. Saturday’s tip focuses on the 3pm Premier League and EFL kick-offs. Sunday’s tip covers the televised games and any standout European fixtures.

Weekend accas tend to offer the best value of the week — there are more fixtures to choose from, the odds are sharper and the biggest bookmaker acca bonuses (including bet365’s accumulator bonus of up to 70% on returns) apply to Saturday and Sunday markets.

Best Bookmakers for Accumulator Betting

Not all bookmakers are equal when it comes to accas. These are the ones worth using:

bet365 — Up to 70% accumulator bonus on 3+ selections in selected leagues. One of the best acca bonuses in the industry. Bet £10 get £30 in Free Bets

Betfred — Offers acca-specific free bets as part of its welcome package, with 2 x £10 acca free bets included when you bet £10. Bet £10 get £50 in Free Bets

HighBet — Sign-up offer includes a dedicated £10 football acca free bet. Bet £10 get £30 in Free Bets

William Hill — Consistently strong acca odds across the Premier League and EFL, with regular acca insurance promos for existing customers. Bet £10 get £40 in Free Bets

CopyBet — Qualifying acca bet (2+ selections) unlocks the welcome offer, making it one of the easiest acca-friendly sign-up offers around. Bet £20 get £20 Free Bet + 15% Profit Boost

What is a Football Accumulator?

A football accumulator — or acca — is a single bet that combines multiple selections. All selections must win for the bet to pay out. The appeal is simple: short-priced favourites that would pay evens individually can combine into a 10/1, 20/1 or bigger return.

For example, four teams all priced at 4/6 to win their matches combine to a return of roughly 5/1. Back them as singles at £5 each, and you’d need all four to win to beat a £5 acca on the same selections. The acca stakes everything on all four winning, but the payout when they do is far better.

The risk is obvious. One upset and the whole bet loses. That’s why selection quality matters more with accas than with any other bet type.

How We Pick Our Accumulator Tips

Every selection in our daily acca goes through the same process before it makes the cut:

Form — We look at the last six matches for each team, home and away, separately. A team can be in good overall form but poor form at home, and that matters.

Head-to-head record — Some fixtures have a clear historical pattern. We factor that in, particularly in derbies and rivalries where form tables can mislead.

Team news — We don’t publish weekend accas before Friday for a reason. Injuries and suspensions announced in Thursday and Friday press conferences can flip the value in a game entirely.

Odds movement — A price that’s shortening in the market is often shortening for a reason. We use odds movement as a secondary signal, not a primary one.

Fixture relevance — A team with nothing to play for in April is a different proposition to the same team in September. We’re always aware of where sides are in the context of their season.

What we avoid: overloading the acca. Three to five strong selections will consistently outperform seven or eight borderline ones. Bigger isn’t always better.

How to Place an Accumulator

  1. Log in to your bookmaker account (or sign up for a free bet offer above)
  2. Navigate to the football section and find the first match you want
  3. Click the selection — it appears in your bet slip
  4. Repeat for each selection — the bet slip will automatically combine them into an accumulator
  5. Enter your stake and confirm the bet

Most bookmakers now let you build accas across multiple days in the same bet slip. That means you can combine Saturday’s early kick-off with Sunday’s afternoon games in one bet.

How Do Accumulator Odds Work?

Accumulator odds multiply together. Here’s a simple example with a four-team acca and a £10 stake:

SelectionOddsRunning Return
Team A to win4/6 (1.67)£16.70
Team B to win5/6 (1.83)£30.56
Team C to win4/5 (1.80)£55.01
Team D to winEvens (2.00)£110.02

A £10 stake returns £110 — just over 10/1. Back each team individually with £2.50 each, and four wins returns around £25 total. The acca wins significantly more when it lands.

Accumulator Bonuses — What to Look For

Several bookmakers pay a bonus on top of accumulator winnings. bet365 is the most widely used — up to 70% extra on returns for accas of 3+ selections in qualifying leagues. The bonus scales with the number of legs, so a five-team acca gets more than a three-team one.

These bonuses apply to pre-match accumulators on standard markets (match result, BTTS, result/BTTS). They don’t usually apply to in-play bets or enhanced odds selections. Always check the T&Cs on the bookmaker’s promotions page before you bet.

Acca Insurance — Is It Worth It?

Several bookmakers offer acca insurance as a regular existing customer promotion — if one leg of your acca lets you down, you get your stake back as a free bet. Betfred and William Hill both run these regularly.

Worth using? Yes, with caveats. The refund is usually a free bet rather than cash, and it’s often capped at £10–£20. But on a big Saturday acca, knowing you have a one-leg safety net does make it easier to include a slightly riskier selection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do accumulators win?

Honestly, not every week. Anyone telling you otherwise is overselling it. Our accas target odds of around 8/1–15/1, which means the selections individually are around 60–70% likely to win each. When all four or five land, the returns are strong. We aim for a few winners a month, and a good month will show a profit on level stakes.

What’s the difference between a double, treble and accumulator?

A double combines two selections. A treble combines three. An accumulator is four or more. Doubles and trebles are lower risk but lower reward. Most bookmaker acca bonuses only kick in from three selections upward.

Can I cash out an accumulator early?

Yes, with most bookmakers. If three of your four selections have won and the fourth is in play, you can often cash out for a guaranteed profit rather than waiting. The cash-out offer is usually less than the full potential payout — the bookmaker factors in the risk of the final leg losing.

What leagues do you cover in your acca tips?

Our daily accas draw primarily from the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two, Champions League, Europa League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Serie A. On quieter midweek days we’ll also look at the National League and other European leagues if the fixtures are right.

Do you post accumulator tips every day?

We post an acca whenever there are enough good-quality fixtures to build one worth backing. During the season that’s most days. During international breaks, fixture lists are thinner and we’ll be more selective. There will always be a tip on this page on Saturday and Sunday during the domestic season.
